THis song made me think that there should be a word for music that imitates the sound of something else (like a train) Like that Doors song that evokes a rainstorm.
I can't think of anything else off the top of my head, but there really should be a word for that.
Johnierose is absolutely correct early R 'n B was a blend of traditional British folk from early migrants and soul from the despairing victims of the slave trade. Whatever touches the soul inspires.
Where do you think American Rock & Roll came from? Half Celtic BlueGrass and half Negro Blues... Needs more cowbell tho! Rock on Scotties! Your Irish/American cousin from the other side of the pond
it is quality music, and everyone has their opinions (mine: i enjoyed the song), just it is a matter of respect and how degrading someone is to have the nerve to go out of their way to say it
lftdst/john - YOU aaare pathetic. Del Amitiri rules! Been listening to them for 12 years. GREAT music. You must be stupid. (that's the worst word I can think of)
20 years ago...and it still sounds fantastic. An extremely under rated band

I like this song 10 times better than "Roll to Me"...although it only got to #35 on the Hot 100 chart in June 1990 it really should have gone top 10

Easily top 10! VERY under-rated.

You know, it's taken me almost 15 years of loving this band and loving Justin Currie to realise that Currie plays bass. How weird is that?

I would love to see the Dels reform even though Justin's solo stuff is good.

Pretty awesome what can happen if you set aside differences, eh? Think of what other things we could do without racism. :)

This tune is Awesome, I love the bottleneck guitar sound, along with the banjo. For Scottish Rockers they really reached down into American Roots!

Wicked track that would be considered country today; would never be a pop song success nowadays - pathetic.
