@ghostsurfer666 Not really, as the first Doctor is only seen on a monitor in this special. Hartnell was very ill, so the three doctors never actually met each other in the flesh. But they have a conversation. In The Five Doctors, though, 1,2 and 3 meet, but 1 is played by Richard Hurndall.
@KingLofiOne Hmm, interesting. I asked because I did see one clip of all 3, with the Third Doctor saying "Reverse the polarity of the neutron flow, and all 3 were in it.
Firstly, Happy 47th Anniversary to Doctor Who. Secondly, thats really awesome :D hehe
who else wants to see the original sequence where the part of the camera where patrick is standing isn't locked off? Can just imagine him standing there twiddling his thumbs :D xx
Very nice, but the effect that really needed updating was the "puff of smoke" representing the event horizon, or whatever, of the black hole! When the Brig et al walked through it, you could hear the actors' footsteps from the other side after they'd disappeared. I'm sure something more impressive was achievable at the time. I don't often criticize classic Who effects, but this one WAS lame.
I love how you can see Patrick Troughton's shadow standing absolutely still on the right side of the floor, as the others walk into the TARDIS. You can watch his shadow jump as he reaches for the recorder.
@th3limit Wow, never noticed that before. Although, if you look carefully in the central column you can just about see his shoulder outlined in it :D x
the magic side of it works due to the fact that magical sound effects of timelord esque was used in 'journeys end' when the doctor blows away the regeneration dust
I kinda preferred the originl for lol factor. Old Who is awesome lol. But it did look clean & actually worked. Dat Kudos.

@ghostsurfer666 Probably from the Five Doctors. All 3 were standing in front of some panel, right? That's the one with Hurndall as 1.
KingLofiOne 5 months ago
@KingLofiOne Yes, that was the one I saw. That explains a lot. In your opinion what two doctors would you like to meet?
ghostsurfer666 5 months ago
@ghostsurfer666 Probably Six and Eleven, as they are my favourites. But they're brilliant chaps, all of them.

@ghostsurfer666
This one? That's from The Five Doctors, with Hurndall acting as a replacement for Hartnell as One.

The instrument was merely a distraction so that the camera could drill into his skull.

The best Dr Who story ever and an added bonus to have
all of the first 3 doctors in the same story.
It's the ultimate Dr Who Fans Birthday present.

An absolutely fantastic story-in fact my personal favourite. Having 2 of
the best actors to have played the Dr in the same story was a stroke of genius.
Dr Who has produced some great stories but this has to be one of the best.
However i also like 3 other stories from the classic era of the show as follows,
1,Genesis of the Daleks
2,Pyramids of Mars
3,The Deadly Assassin.

Great addition to the scene. Very...magical. (though with Troughton and Pertwee in the same scene it's already magical)
