Someone commented earlier today on your myspace site on how what happened at Virginia Tech this week has given additional meaning and texture to this video. I could not agree more. We need to embrace each day and the people we meet in it, because it just could be the last thing we or they do. The song and video talk of the promise and optimism of future meetings, which is great and hopeful and all, let's just not cling to the future alone, and neglect what can be done NOW.
As a big fan for many years, I can say that Brian's voice and songwriting has always been top notch. This song and video are just another in a long line of his successes.
This band can do it all. In concert they always have 200% energy. They can be really funny and goofy, and then they can perform a heartfelt song like this. Brian (the lead singer) is a truly gifted songwriter, and this video is just another great example of how much versatility and talent he has.
Fantastic! This reminds me (and I mean this as the sincerest form of flattery) of the songs and videos John Mellencamp put out in the late 80's. A great sense of Americana!
i saw him perform at the departure ceremony for the 34th infantry"red bulls". They are heading for Iraq. very touching song

Beautiful song and video. Reminds me more of Springsteen than Mellencamp, but it is fantastic either way.
