  • fuel shower down there

  • People should grab their buckets, FREE FUEL!

  • throw a lighter in that shit and it will look like ghost rider

  • I could have sworn jet fuel was pink/red..

  • @BlackKnifeFish

    right!

  • @BlackKnifeFish It's actually like a light, diluted champagne color. Very greasy, smelly stuff.

Contrary to popular opinion, most aircrafts do not have fuel dumping systems in place, and this is not at all routine for most airlines.

  • where is the beign recorded from

  • free fuel!!

  • They are being SPRAYED! ;)

  • Doesn't the molecules of the jet fuel just dissipate into nothing at around 35,000 feet, since the oxygen and nitrogen levels are so very thin. Not to mention, I think the sun probably just vaporizes the fuel at those high altitudes in the lower/midrange atmosphere.

  • Carefull, don't light a match. BOOM. lol

  • @train52000 hardly, jet fuel won't light with a match it about almost impossible but if atomized then a match is all you need but in that air flow outside the plane good luck.

  • This makes me angry. With current insane fuel prices. You can run a diesel engine on Kerosine, it's almost the same. Kerosene is just cleaner burning than diesel, if the planes engine used diesel it would not make it's full lifetime and pollute way to much. If you imagine the A380 get's 300.000 liters of fuel in it's tanks EVERY FLIGHT, you know your goverment is fucking you with your 1.2 eco car.

  • Relax, it's only kerosene.

  • why are they dumping fuel?

  • well, the plane is really between 30,000/40,000 feet above ground

  • @KYLEZ0R09 This is a regular procedure that all commercial pilots are trained for. Not some stupid fucking government conspiracy

  • Its not littering if you're at 30,000 feet

  • cud of freakin put dat fuel in myy car

  • @Tavio006 cars don't use Jet-A...

  • lol thats like 50 thousand dollars right there

  • " I never knew jet fuel was white".. made me lol, it's not, its clear or yellowy, but it appears white because it has vapourized as it exits the fuel tank into the atmosphere

  • well.. when you gotta go... you gotta go.

  • this really happens... this is just a waste but its neccasary! stupid right?

  • sure it's fuel and not the chemtrails in the making ?

  • @xadam2dudex I laugh every time I hear that word.

  • The fuel looks white fore the same reason clouds look white, the light is reflecting off of the liquid particles. It is the same as when water is sprayed in a mist, it looks white too.

  • UGH!!

    thats such a FUCKING waste!!!!

    FU airline companies!!

  • 99.999999% or more are contrails.

  • Actually jet fuel is clear or straw colored, the reason it looks white is the air screaming by the wing is turning the fuel stream into a mist.

  • just another chemtrail

  • They should pare-drop canisters of unwanted jet fuel so we can pick it up and use it with our cars.

  • @NoShame86 that would just make it into a large bomb when it hit the ground at better than 300 MPH.

  • so thats why the tnt firework factory exploded damm

  • man that is so rare .. its either aviation fuel , which is most likely the case or its just a vapor stream , because on a330 theres a little funnal from where it comes from located on the half way section of the wing.. ive never seenthat before ... bythe way, im a simulation trainer for qantas and i teach airbus aircraft

  • so what i mean does it rain fuel on land or does it just kinda evaporate into the wind

  • either way, it's not good.

  • oh so much fuel going to waste.

  • @boeingt it's better wasted like that than posing a danger of assisting in the explosion of the aircraft.

couple thousand pounds worh of fuel is a lot cheaper than a couple million pound aircraft and full compliment of passengers on fire.

  • yes it for saftey,, but its good fuel so people feel kind of bad for it. lol

  • hey dumb ass that ant jet fuel

  • yah it is dude. what the hell did you think it was?

  • ummmmm exaust?

  • and then they charge us for higher fuel costs. wtf

  • Better than charging for a new airplane when it disintegrates when landing cause it was too heavy. Fuel dumping is only done if the plane has to land early into the flight, for example, an emergency.

  • yes.. gasoline, oil, diesel and jet1 airplane fuel is GREAT for the environment.. that's why everyone celebrates whenever a tanker sinks..

  • Jet fuel evaporates long before it hits the ground. It does have an effect but it's merely a drop in the bucket.

  • its just dinosaur juice, it came from the ground, it can go back into the ground. calm down tree huggers.

  • imagine holding a lighter to the kerosene trail , there wud be a huge flame and would not dump fuel on the land . . .ny1 know wht happens to all the fuel . . .wht if sum1 is havin a bonfire or something

  • actually jet fuel is volatile like isopropyl alcohol. it will completely turn to gas and get dissipated into the atmosphere.

  • So thats why the climate is changing.. ooh now i see... ^^, thahahahah

  • MD-11 ?????

  • Looks more like A330-300

  • Actually watched it again and the things under the flaps make it seem a MD-11 sorry XD

  • definetly a MD-11. look at the winglets. the md-11 has the little pol thing sticking out of the back and the A330 does not.

  • Jet Fuel is clear or straw like hue. Avgas 100LL is blue.

  • yes like other people say they dump fuel before an emergency landing sometimes. i can say ive seen a few weird contrails or "chemtrails" in the sky lately. but contrails dont form on that part of the wing unless ive been out oftune with things

  • watch?v=56uoBsU26o8

  • what did you think it was.. pink?? jeez

  • Jet fuel is clear in color, aviation 100 Octane is blue.

  • I was on that plane and the pilot said they were dumping fuel

  • Did you turn around or land early?

  • what happened?..why they were dumping fuel???

  • to pollute the air what do u think?

  • @geekattack10

    Why?

  • guys you are stupid they wont do that cuse fuel costs so much thats the hot are from the plane and it gets cooled off just like when smoke comes out of your mouth in winter

  • If that's true, then this is certainly the smallest, most efficient jet engine in existence. Take a look at the video and you will see that the outlet is right up near the wingtip. The engines are much closer to the root of the wing.

  • @skinboy8 the fuel is stored in the wings and they are just dumping into the air. The jet engines are much closer to the hull of the plane.

  • This is in fact a fuel dump. In emergencies pilots will jetisson fuel to lighten the load of the plane. This is carefully monitored and rare. Typically only large airplanes like this 747-400 are equiped to dump fuel. What you are thinking of is a contrail, that is the freezing of engine exhaust.

  • PilotUTA(or anyone who knows), when trails of white can be seen coming from an airplane, is that contrail? or is that the fuel being jetissoned like in this vid?

  • 99.99% of the time it is a contrail! A contrail is the freezing of the exaust and condensation of the engines. So far no evidence has suggested these harm or effect the atmosphere. Fuel Jettison is a rare event and is only used in emergency situations. Only larger aircraft such as this Boeing 747-400

  • Continued- Only larger aircraft such as this Boeing 747-400 are equiped to dump fuel!

  • actually the newer 737s like the 737-600,700,800 and 900 series due to their rather long range. also, i think Airbus is adding fuel dump to their A319s,320s and 321s due to the fact that most users run these aircraft on long cross country flights...like Jet Blu. Also most ETOPS rated birds have fuel dump.

  • The 737NG series are not equiped to dump fuel this is because their maximum landing weight is relatively small compare to the maximum takeoff weight. In other words, the maximum weight the 737 can takeoff at is not much more than maximum weight the aircraft can land at. As for A320's I doubt they would install fuel dmp capabilities because of the same reasons as the 737 series. Note: the ETOPS 757 does no have a fuel dump system.

  • My freind can dump fuel from his G200 and thats small compared to a b747

  • Not uncommon, some private planes are capable of dumping fuel. Remember the ability to dump fuel is based off of maximum takeoff and maximum landing weights. Not just aircraft size!

  • Pure Pollution. I'm calling the E.P.A!

  • they have to do and emergency landing they ahave to do this or the aircraft will crash because of it weight

  • but the aircrafts are powerful..why they can`t do emergency landing with full banks of fuel?

  • airplanes are designed to land with a heavy load but with lesser fuel = lesser weight which prevents overheating brakes, reduce runway length and tire explosion

  • @aznturtle1 wont it crash without fuel also?

  • @JerryFromNewJersey They needed to dump just the excess fuel so that the plane is lighter, therefore easier to land on a shorter runway. They didn't dump ALL the fuel

  • They know and approve.

  • there is a simple explanation for this. the flight was going to go trans-atlantic and carried alot of fuel. being forced to make an emergency landing the pilot smartly recognized that his plane was too heavy to land with all that fuel, so he dupms the fuel so he can go faster and have a relatively safer laning.

  • they have to dump fuel before landing in case that they crash they dont blow up on the runway!!!!!!

  • i hope it landed on the new england patriots those buggers!

  • grrr dont you know who won like the last three superbowls

    ????

  • yeah nice to see they aint won the last two

  • they won last year

  • 2005 new england

    2006 pittsburgh

    2007 indinnapolis ... i count 2
