@WRDISBOND I'm not familiar with those exact strings, but if you're using standard bass guitar tuning (E A D G), then everything should be fine. Thanks for watching!
@Meralkhan The E A D and G strings on a guitar are exactly the same on a bass, so you can still use my lesson and play the song on your guitar. Hope that helps, and have a great performance! :)
Very Helpful Tutorial . I will try to make a cover on it when my bass arrive . I ordered an Yamaha RBX 374 in Black . You have the same but in red right ?
While we're at it...the second 4 bars of Come Together are not the same on bass as the first four bars, only one string lower. If you are putting your shingle out as a teacher, then you must say, "this is my version of the bass part for Come Together." Or you can learn and teach it as this classic was created and recorded.
the hardest thing about lurning this is the alfabet. you probaly think: "who's so stupid that she doesn't know the alfabet?" but im dutch and the speak is a little difference. your 'A' is for the dutch a 'E' and your 'E' is for me a 'I'
The slide is a little long, in the original the slide is two notes and quick third note which sounds like part of the slide, also its the same thing over and over no lowering pitch BUT this is a good, slightly longer version, it would be better for solos than the original

Sorry but the real way that Paul did 5 a string then 10 g string then 12 d string then you go up one which is 5 a string 10 d string 12 a string then the 3 e string thank you
goodg9 just use whatever you want and it also can depend on what song it is whatever u use it will effect the sound of the song so it will sound better for some songs
this was a really good video. it was easy to understand for me because i am a beginner. i like your work. i hope you continue to do easy videos like this one. please do some videos of easy def leppard songs. i love their band
dude thanx alot this video showed me how to finally play something on my bass that i've had for a good 4or 5 months plus it turned out to be easy thanx
dude, make it easer on urself. u no the d note? well the d string is the same sound open. it makes it mch easier to no ur string names if u dont allready. they are from the to to bottom or lowest to highest are E A D G. or Eagles Are Doing Good.
Not sure why he slides back to the 7th fret on the G string when it is more efficient to 12th fret the D string at the end of the first riff. Same can be done for the second riff that starts on the E string.
can u learn the theme song to snford and son my friends want me to learn it and u teach very good i learned this oon quick just right me if u can do it or not
im new to playing bass and im having trouble with the slide from 3d to 10g, i either go to fast or too slow, any pointers...... by the way great vid man
Is there a part of the bass riff missing? Listening to the song it sounds like there is a part a little after the beginning and right before the "hair down to his knees" verse. Just wondering.

... sweet Jesus that's smooth. @goodg9 thats not stupid at all. but you do not want to only use your index. you give each your fingers a fret:e.g. you give your index finger the first fret, middle finger second fret, ring finger 3rd, and pinky 4th. if the song is more than four frets wide, you move the appropriate finger, e.g. you start and the 4th fret, so you put your index there (becuase you started on that fret) and then need to play the 3rd fret, so move your index there. your index always goes on starting fret.
