  • is an active long scale bass?

  • would i be able to play this properly using D'ADDARIO XL Nickel wound Wound Bass Strings?

I keep trying but I would like an expert opinion.

  • @WRDISBOND I'm not familiar with those exact strings, but if you're using standard bass guitar tuning (E A D G), then everything should be fine. Thanks for watching!

  • @goodrob13 they are used for playing funk on the bass and have a pretty bright tune and your welcome your a very good teacher

  • Ya rob good video. This tutorial really helped. I first learned it from a tab and this version works better for me.

  • can u please make more!!!????? i like ur vids

  • Thanks its very easy.could you do McCartney's "so bad" please?

  • shit hard!

  • thanks this was super helpful :)

  • I need to learn this but i dont have a bass... =P any help????

i need to learn on a six string acoustic and play infront of my school .__.

  • @Meralkhan The E A D and G strings on a guitar are exactly the same on a bass, so you can still use my lesson and play the song on your guitar. Hope that helps, and have a great performance! :)

  • Very Helpful Tutorial . I will try to make a cover on it when my bass arrive . I ordered an Yamaha RBX 374 in Black . You have the same but in red right ?

  • Ican not do thet hahahaha

  • @orehorst it is called a bass guitar but it can also be called a bass or eletrick bass

  • great video so easy to learn with ur help thanks!

  • While we're at it...the second 4 bars of Come Together are not the same on bass as the first four bars, only one string lower. If you are putting your shingle out as a teacher, then you must say, "this is my version of the bass part for Come Together." Or you can learn and teach it as this classic was created and recorded.

  • You are incorrect. A violin comes in four sizes including a "bass vile." A guitar does not.

  • play all you need is love

  • Dankeshun

  • its so much simpler than i thought. im only a beginning bass player, but now i can play something i like. thx

  • there is no such thing as a "bass guitar." it's just a bass, or "electric bass."

  • @orehorst thats ridiculous. Of course its a bass guitar, what else is it, a bass trumpet?

  • Good, but ur rushing the riff and u skipped the chording part

  • Cheers pal!

  • yeah! bronx

  • im trying to do the slide up thing and its not workin out how can do it.

  • I want your bass guitar!

  • Not as good as Macca

  • could you do help

  • the hardest thing about lurning this is the alfabet. you probaly think: "who's so stupid that she doesn't know the alfabet?" but im dutch and the speak is a little difference. your 'A' is for the dutch a 'E' and your 'E' is for me a 'I'

  • The slide is a little long, in the original the slide is two notes and quick third note which sounds like part of the slide, also its the same thing over and over no lowering pitch BUT this is a good, slightly longer version, it would be better for solos than the original

    g 10 10

    d 12

    a 10S12

    E10 10

Also the heavy section is easier played

    E 777777553335

This is the Northern Songs version, they own the rights to the song

  • I learned from my teacher a cheap way to play,so it's like a short cut version

  • thanks i can't stop playing it now and what that steven35s guy said is bullshit your bass is kool

  • thanks :) man:)

  • this helped so much thx!

  • ... sweet Jesus that's smooth. Listen, this may sound like a dumb question, but although I see all your fingers on the strings as you pluck them, are you, in fact, only using your index finger and moving it around to each position? One of my myriad problems with guitar and bass has been how to hold my hands.

  • Thanks! Yeah, I'm just using my index finger. I rest my other fingers on whatever strings I'm not plucking, to keep them silent.

Sometimes I pluck with my thumb instead of my index finger. Sometimes I use a pick. Use whichever feels the most comfortable.

  • @goodg9 thats not stupid at all. but you do not want to only use your index. you give each your fingers a fret:e.g. you give your index finger the first fret, middle finger second fret, ring finger 3rd, and pinky 4th. if the song is more than four frets wide, you move the appropriate finger, e.g. you start and the 4th fret, so you put your index there (becuase you started on that fret) and then need to play the 3rd fret, so move your index there. your index always goes on starting fret.

  • Sweet, a bass video!
