well, as you can see the earth itself is still visible in the background. the "X" comes from an activated data layer whose server seems to be offline. next time you see this try deactivating the layers to find out which one caused this..
oh come on people, get a grip! Do you actually think Google Earth provides real-time satellite imagery?! No, those are old images taken from individual satellites that have been pieced together. I use Google Earth all the time for professional purposes and I know how it works. Some areas show clouds, and others do not. The red x's show up when you are having internet connection issues and can't download the data.
or they are covering something from the people with those markers,eyther way,the government and nasa,etc are whores to me,they are the reptilian bitches servants

He is right. I was told by a us general that real time satellite imagery is rare for military reasons. Google does not offer it.
