This was in an area called Les Portes du Soleil which spans the French and Swiss border. If you go there, you'll definitely see people ski gliding and hanggliding... To be fully honest, this didn't take much skill as a skier... I'd encourage everyone to give it a try!

Danimal, I don't see how that is possible with all the angles and near 360 shots with skis (hence body) turning at the same time. He'd fall out of his seat. Besides, at 2:12 you can see a lift below. It is WAY below him. I've personally never seen a lift tower that high off the ground, but I ski in Utah, not the Alps. A tram maybe, yes, but your skis can't hang freely if you are on a tram. I'd say this is legit.
