@maseratiquattroport hey hes an auto engineer, its nice to see someone that knows the inner workings for a car talking about a car. Instead of someone else who dont know and talking about the car without an engineers point of view of the design process.
Mr. Jake Fisher is probably consumerreports' worst reviewer. His lack of verbose language, and constant repetitive words such as, 'extremely' and 'very' makes it almost vague to every aspect of his reporting.
I just bought a 2012 V6 Sport Edition and I disagree with this nit wit, its a very engaging and fun car to drive and you can take corners doing sixty with very little body lean not to mention the 0-60 time is among the fastest in its class
Toyota cars are contaminated with nuclear radiation including Plutonium-238, 239 and 240 which will increase your risk of cancers, infertility and sperm damage. Japan is still facing an ongoing nuclear radiation crisis and this has spread to surrounding Tokyo, Osaka and Yokohama.
The only thing I liked about it was that it offered standard projector beam headlights, as well as LED brake lights (2011 models). Which gave it a 'luxury' appeal.
Everything was just boring. Typical Camry boringness.
The new ones however, are still pretty boring. They look like a large Corolla. Which is a huge mistake.
But other than that, the interior is not that bad.
Exterior is boring. PLUS, they dropped the LED brake lights.
The new camry is nice, but I don't like the new tail lights. It seems like a step down from the last modelwith some of the small details. The 2011 had automatic power windows for all four windows. The rear head rest doesn't go up either...
@TheGangstalouie i'm sorry since when? Japanese cars are notorious for having way better residual values, better MPGs, and lasting longer...now I dislike toyota with a passion because of how they completely jew their consumers and only put quality items in their Lexus' line...but seriously...I've driven the new Malibu...and both it and the Camry drive like old people fuck
I've been driving a 2003 Toyota Camry LE V6 for 8 years now, bought it brand new, never had a problem with it, it's smooth and fast and extremely quiet, all I do is fill up the gas tank and do an oil change every few months, that's all, it's a trouble free car that will give you years driving pleasure and peace of mind, no worries!! Do yourself a favour and buy a Camry, you won't regret it because it's light on your pocketbook in terms of NO REPAIRS NECESSARY, LOL!!
Seriously?! Best selling car in America and it's "not the most exciting styling"...I guess that means you think everyone else is wrong or they just didn't pay attention to styling when the bough the car. Got Arrogance?
@Yeziam12 it's the best selling car in America for one reason, and one reason only...Rental Car Companies. on the Retail side, the Sonata kicks its ass 5 ways from sunday, and the Accord is not too far behind.
MotorTrends review Vs the Sonata; you will see that the Camry is faster than the Sonata. More fuel efficient too; I'm sure when the crash test results come back it'll be safer & get off its styling! The front is perfect: it gives you a confident stare when you look it in its eyes. The Sonata is extremely overstyled for a Hyundai, & It has that over-hauled front end that tries to appear angrily, but to me it just looks like it's mad because the Camry's the shit.
@3191LR What are you talking about? Are you the bitch from a Toyota dealship? Sonata is extremely over styled? Does the new Camry look like a refridgerator? I can tell you one thing about the new Carmy nonetheless. It's got more class than you for sure.
My sister drove a 1998 camry model and lost control of the car. Then comes a 3 ton truck and hit her on the driver side and she walked away with no injuries. Today I am still driving a camry and it never gave me problems
When the 2007 Camry came out it took on a new bolder look, this new model canceled that effort. I love Camries period, but this look is so disappointing I seriously believe Ford will be capturing more of the Toyota market in the future. The design team at Toyota appears to be replaced by Hasbro toy designers.
Now, I didn't want to disappoint, but the new Camry has changed throughout the years, Toyota has once again done a great job on the exterior, interior, but the one thing that I don't like about the new Camry is that they don't have it in manual transmission, that counts for all of the 2011-2012 Camries.
I didnt like the new camry at first but then i saw the new se and i thought it looked really nice and the interior looked like a huge improvement over the old model
I cannot stand the rear end. The taillights are literally identical to the Scion's, except the Toyota has the overhangs on the truck opening. Also, it is Volvo S60 everywhere in the back.
Never buy a Toyota or other Japanese cars because they have been tainted with a large dose of Fukushima Plutonium-238, 239 and 240 which are highly radioactive with longest half lives of all kinds of radiation. Effects include higher rates of cancer, infertility and sperm damage.
I like the new camry..especially the interior is now much better and looks higher quality than old one..disappointed that they have not changed the exterior much which is kind of strange..overall I will take it
that car is going to look extremely dated in a few years. they did absolutely nothing to the exterior, it is still a biggie sixed corrola, wich means nobody will see it and think, "is that the new camry? i gotta have one of those!' they will think "its a car. it is a form of transportation." considering the steady slide in sles the camry as been having for years now and the new cars from ford, chevy and hyundai, this old pos isnt going to be on top for long.
if u like boring... buy one. kia optima seems like alot more car and forte is surely alot more fun. imm all done with toyota since my 3x valve job twice under warranty.
A digital and an analog MPG gauge? Couldn't something more useful have gone there? Such as what Honda did with their expanded media display on the Civic.
A bloated, more chiseled corolla with the face of a tsx and a choppy, anonymous rear end. Other than the interior improvements, this is a pretty disappointing redesign.
I have a 2000 toyota camry. Went out the other day to check out some new midsize cars. Test drove the new Sonata, Mazda 6, Honda Accord & Kia Optima. Overall, I decided to keep my Camry due to the fact that even though is a year 2000 it drives smoother and the suspension much more comfortable than all those cars I test drove. Also, it only has 50k miles. Now I know why these cars are so popular and is due to the smoothness and unmatched comfort it offers. Maybe I'll upgrade to the new model.
I applaud the analog fuel economy gauge. That is the first analog I've seen for this type of measuring and looks very clear. Not a Camry fan, but you have to give credit where credit is due
I don't really like the except for the se trims, which look pretty sharp on the exterior. As for the interior, its much improved though, looks a lot nicer. I think toyota did a good job overall, it looks like they addressed the cheap interior of the previous generation which was very bad, lol.
I dont get what ppl are complaining about. It looks WAY better than the malibu, impala, debatably the accord and looks more mean and the interior is beautiful!
Looks good, I'm not sure I like the tailights now, but there is no denying the Camry is a great car for people who simply want a good n' reliable form of transportation.
