It said "I am sure they can find a brown person for you to kill" so that in fact indicates singling out people who are "brown" to be killed, implying that as an issue. Had you said "they can find a person for you to kill" then there would be no issue with the remark. Also, I do appreciate you telling me that I should enlist if I support the wars. I didn't realize that one had to enlist to have an opinion.

@wrjamescom I don't recall hearing of bombing at the time, but Donahue is probably right that some air strikes were used with Grenada. Even so... couldn't have been much. Wasn't the sort of thing done now with pummelling "shock and awe" from cruise missiles. Was a "Send in the Marines" type ground troops mission ostensibly to rescue some medical students. It was a quickie "war".
Was just after the terrorist bombing of US troops in Beirut... is Donahue mixing things up in his mind?

I was a huge fan of the Donahue Show when it was on air in the 80s and 90s. I was excited, then quickly saddened, when his program was removed from MSNBC at the launch of the Iraq War. I'm so glad that Donahue got to speak out on CNN about Ron Paul being the only candidate against more wars.

He was against the war in Iraq before it even began. Despite his high ratings, MSNBC still pulledl him off the air, and explicitly stated that they didn't want Donahue's face representing their network when America was in a time of war.
Don't be fooled by the media...both the left and right supported that war. And those who questioned its motive were penalized like Donahue.

It was really good to hear Phil Donahue agree with Ron Paul and speak the truth about our foreign policy, however, I bet he is totally against Paul's economic plans and ideas. I believe the most important issue in this presidential race is our foreign policy and the wars. If Dr. Paul does not get the nomination it'll be another 4 years of Obama. The GOP will destroy themselves if they keep advocating more war.

I cant be 100% certain but if you search Phil Donahue interviews Milton Freidman and watch these matter of fact interviews with the Nobel Prize economist Mr Freidman you might change your mind. I personally was blown away by Milton Freidman and watched alot of other town hall style Q&A speaking events that he did that are also on Youtube. I dont expect you to be as moved as I was but let me know what you think.

I respect the fact that Phil's shows did so well when he always brought on guest with different ideas to explain themselves such as Milton. You don't see that quite as much. I can't say who he is going to vote for but Paul convinced him with the war issue hopefully he is convinced with the rest.
