Heh, figures i would see the greatest youtube comments posted under a Cornell channel =)
Profmud "he's simply saying that he's a different person, and you can keep waiting on something(such as a SG reunion) if you want, but things have changed and that's just the way they're gonna be...until they change again, i guess." -Theres definately truth to that, Carry On was proof of that and i have a feeling Scream will support that claim too..
Scream is good, just not something you wanna hear often. The fact that cornell went from BMF to scream makes the album seem less than what it is. Plus timbaland has the reputation equivalent to bono, if you get past those 2 things you can appreciate the album more. Sweet revenge and two drink minimum are pretty good.
chris can't get back with sound because it would'nt even be the same feel , because during that time chris's song's where song's of the deepest deppresion's and just dark day's, but the band as a hole is far to comfotable and happy with life 2 force feed olod fan's with 90's grunge again, if they where to reunite it would be like cover song's and uplifte'er song's there all way 2 happy and comftorbal in life 2 make that grunge again, it ended on time(sg)
I think that its all of that. just to let anyone wondering or wanting to see Chris in that way in his life musically and personally (while he was with SG)that it just isnt their anymore. totally agree with you on the thing about the old fans. I havent been a SG fan for too long but You still got the albums and there are plenty of bands and musicans that have that Gloomy and doomed iconic sound and feel. sorry i have a hard time ending once i get going. hope its not 2 confusing.
love this song. It seems so personal tho it shows how much hes grown and changed as a person. It kinda sounds like hes talkin to his Ex susan or a friend from the past.
i think he's talking to his fans - the ones that are still looking for the doom and gloom icon, and the heavy metal riffs. he's simply saying that he's a different person, and you can keep waiting on something(such as a SG reunion) if you want, but things have changed and that's just the way they're gonna be...until they change again, i guess.
these people(the old fans) act like its their own life changing: i say either start your own band or get over it.
I loved this song from the first listen, which was at this concert, the first time he played it live. Its just such a great song, very triumphant, and his voice gives me shivers. His voice is unbelievable - beautiful and powerful, he's amazing live!
Wow! this and "arms" are my favorites. they've both got this sophisticated pop sound, as i like to call it, that reminds me of Buckley's Last Goodbye-musically but mostly in feel and context:Music for people with good salaries in Ny. you know the good looking type who live classy in the West Village or Tribeca-and somehow you still dont hate them. it takes a good song to pull that off.
Please someone post a better quality version of this song!! I love it so much and want to hear it better!

You also have to take into account that he most likely can't sing the same way he used to.
