Brilliant track? Huh? It's so narrow there's hardly room to pass, which makes for a very prosessional race. In addition, there is NO room for driver error as the entire track is lined with concrete barriers. Put it all together and the result a crap temporary circuit. But hey what do I know?

so not that anybody cares but if you watch the footage and pay attention around 1:40-1:47 on the right hand side you will see some tents..actually there clearspan..But there are a butt load of them around the fountain thats on the island and in other randome spots. I helped put those up it took about a month and a half to set it all up. It was really cool watching that part of the island transform from day to day. On race day it looked nothing like when i first saw it.
i believe what your sayin man im from windsor but grew up alot in detroit and detroits economy is getting alot better now and the race just brings more canadians with swollen pockets over the tunnel is packed this week

As a former Detroiter, I'm glad to see the Detroit Grand Prix return as a sports car series.
Congrats to you, shotgun. That ride in the Z06 had to be real treat.

I went and found it to be an incredibly good time. Paddock access made it even better! ;-)
