  • What palpatine could not see, was his own death.

  • OMG it's the Pope!!!

    Einfach unheimlich uuuuhuhhuuuuhhhhhh XD

  • Bisschen nervig, dass der Imperator so lispelt. Ist mir früher nie aufgefallen^^

  • No German Voice ist best. Im not evil.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAAH HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH

    DIE HUMANSSS DIEEEE HAHAHAHAHAAHAAH

    LONG LIVE THE EMPIRE!!!!!

  • TheEmperor in German sounds really really evil. Its such a great Voice. And Vader the slave to him in German. Brilliant dubbing!

  • german movies are the best you noob

  • Yeah our voices are the best in the world. Unfortunately we cant act.

  • @Konduffi2

Have you seen Inglourious Basterds? There are several German speaking actors who often appeard in German movies and seemed to be poor actors but Tarantino showed that their capability reaches from good to congenial. What the German movie industry really needs is decent directing and writing!

  • @lilbrothaaa Just as of Michael Bay. Maybe he needs some german actors :-)

  • Is it possible to buy the german version on DVD? Where might one find it?

  • I like the German Vader-Voice better... the original Voice is a bit to high for my taste.

When Vader says "ihr" to the emperor it is something like "your highness" or the english "thy". It is the german plural auf "du" (you), which is also used when talking to a King, Emperor, Lord whatever...

  • the english voices are often higher than the german speakers. It could be that the english language is generally a bit higher than german.

  • @tedstardust

You are mostly right, however there is one thing that I want to make straight.

"Thy" in English matches the German "dein", zum Beispiel... thou = du.... thee = dich....thy/thine = dein.

This form was only used on an intimate basis with an other person. Royalty in England was addressed with the use of the plural second person forms "ye, you, yours."

  • @DieserBenuterIstCool

    Wieder was gelernt:-) Danke

  • @tedstardust Out of the context it is the german plural, but within the context (speaking to the emperor) he's talking with all due respect in 2.nd person plural to him. In the german StarWars movies this is almost always the case when people talking to eachother. Just as in fairy tales with princess, prince and king.

  • Its the "royal" we. XD

  • Imperator sounds strange and cool either. Rather than Kaiser brrrr. This dub is very awesome, and the emperor has great voice in German. But Vader's sound is not the best, also in my country's voice so don't worry. You know it couldn't give me that feeling, that I have when I hear the "English Vader".

Tut mir leid fur meine schlimme Deutsch.

  • Ach so! Danke!

  • I have added the dialogue to the description.

  • Not Uberrato.

    Darth Vader calls him Imperator.

Emperor means Kaiser or Imperator in German.

  • Was rufst Vader der Kaiser? "Uberrato?" Was bedeudet das?
