  • This was actually touched upon on the video game "Resident Evil 4" for the Nintendo Wii. Pretty interesting stuff, I began googling it and it turned out to be true. This month's article on the Atlantic has more information - How Your Cat Is Making You Crazy by KATHLEEN MCAULIFFE. Everything Joe Rogan is saying on this video is true, I've read about it for a long time.

  • Come on I'am to lazy to Google this, can we get a confirmation on this toxoplasma or whatever.

  • im brazillian and i have toxoplasma and im an aggressive rugby player i wont think twice before taking anyone down.....maybe this is true

  • joe rogan loves talking about toxoplasma, hes talked about it on 10+ podcasts

  • Tis why I won't date a chick who has cats.

  • So this means that Joe Rogan has Toxoplasama?

  • @pancakeboi1 ur dumb

  • @ThrasherGnar And obviously you don't pay any attention! Toxoplasma causes aggression right! Joe Rogan is aggressive right! enough said you TROLL. . .

  • I think the guy on the lefts high

  • @bontario you know who that is, right? If you did, you'd know he is :-)

  • @bontario he is usually always high lol no joke

  • I didn't know that Joe cared that much about protozoonosis..

Nobody dies of thats in Brazil though. Half the world population carries that parasite, but it doesn't manifest most of the times. Do your homework properly, man !

  • hey I like you Joe, but FUCK YOU

  • alguem poderia me dizer sobre oq eles estão falando ?

  • Cordyceps Fungi.

  • the real question is, if nature has devised all these ways to keep itself going, then what is it's motivation? Why does everythng "seek" to avoid death, whether it is consciously doing it or not? What do a bunch of molecules or whatever care whether they are part of something alive?

  • @jimmyshitbags

they don't have to care necessarily, imagine an experiment we start with a diverse range of simple organisms, some will survive and some won't just because of their basic traits, and so it goes, the more complex organisms it becomes a bit more of a factor, because then we're talking sentient beings who want to survive, they're not just molecules.

  • @DaveC86 I feel like I'm not asking the question properly, I don't think I've explained what I'm getting at very well. What I mean is, say life started as just some self-replicating molecules that do their thing because their behaviour is just dictated by chemistry. That surely has no will to keep going, the chain reaction just continues because that's what happens. But, when you consider a slightly more complex organism, it does things to stay alive that aren't just a...

  • @DaveC86 ... just a pure chemical reaction, the organism evolves and aqcuires methods/strategies that allow this organism's lineage to continue. It seems to me as if life itself "wants" to keep going. The individual organism seems not to be the important thing, it seems as if the only important thing is that life itself doesn't fizzle out. Everything seems to be about propagating genes. What is the reason for this?

  • @jimmyshitbags This is literally the number ONE question I'd get answered if I could only get one true answer.

  • Science discovered the holy spirit.. read that bible again lol.. No really.. Romans feed the Christians to lions and then Rome is the center of Christianity.. I'm just saying.

Read what Jesus said about being food.. I'm just saying

Brazil is also very religious so it's a bit of a sensitive subject..

The countries with lots of toxo are "Catholic".

The cat's out of the bag so to speak. Lets hope things are different this time.

  • Hahah doug is stonnneeeddd

  • Fuck you, Joe!

  • lol why would toxoplasma make someone angrier?? it's a disease that affects the eyes, it doesn't do much, you can live normally, but it maybe in some time of your life it will show up and you will need treatment.

  • Damn nature, you scary

  • my boyfriend died from this last yr

  • What I got from this is more then 50% of Brazilians love cat shit...

  • i have a thing 4 brazzilan chicks this info help alot

  • Mr.. Rogan does not come 'cause here in Brazil we say it personally to Brazil? you afraid of? if not, it should have.

  • What Americans do not like Brazilians that everyone knows, now Mr. ignorance. Rogan shows that he knows nothing of Brazil, no diseases and no jiu-jitsu. I am Brazilian and I think a tremendous lack of respect. I hope not also come to Brazil next ufc river in 2012 sr. Rogan, it can be dangerous for you. In fact ... go smoke pot you win is more.

  • @johnplay78 he wasnt haven a go dude chill:)

  • Comment removed

  • i think weed gets rid of toxoplasma, im brazilian and im a generally calm individual

  • If you don't have toxoplasma, then why are all the Brazilian commenters getting so aggressive and angry?

  • so in one sentence he says that 66% of Brazilians have the the T. Gondii and "you think about these wild motherfuckers and these beautiful women", but then does not say the same thing about France, where 80% of the population is infected.

This argument is weak. is he making a connection between violence/Brazilian sexuality and T. Gondii?? i think it is WAY more complicated than that.

  • YO IS THAT THE SUPER HIGH ME GUIY?

  • @AresCosmos Doug Benson? yep!

  • @applexxcore HAHA NICE

  • "There's videos online of rats that are infected by Toxo and they run right up to cats and jump on them -

they don't give a fuck about cats."

  • I'm from Brazil... I live in NY since since 12... I do agree with you though. Brazilian people are very proud and 3rd world ignorant. They take that nationalism to another level. I understand my countryman more now. thank you!

  • Imagine if gay guys were actually controlled by some weird fucked up parasite hahahaha, could be true though XD

  • Fuckin Brian! Lol

  • haha last sentence

  • Sapololski

  • ending made me laugh

  • LOL These guys dissing Rogan have no idea what the fuck Google is. I knew these guys commenting were slow when one guy below said something about how he can't go around saying "crazy" things without research. Dude HE SAID GOOGLE IT. Why ASSUME he's wrong when the search bar's staring you in the face? Fucking Slow. FUCKING SLOW.

  • i like this... very informative... way to go JOE!! :D

  • @wisefelipe Maybe not where you live, but the NCBI did a three year study and found "CT has an extraordinarily high prevalence in Brazil, in fact the highest ever reported in the world. Although the long-term efficacy of treatment of CT has not been well documented," CDC says "The IgG prevalence of 70% found in this study is consistent with results of a study in Fortaleza in which 72% of pregnant and postpartum women were seropositive for IgG to toxoplasmosis"

  • mma is lame. Joe Rogan is cool.

  • LOL rogan, you lost it man, excuses and more excuses

  • Joe What a disappointment, I expected more from you. I am Brazilian and that's not right one bit. you must have smoked marijuana when he said that. It's unfortunate. It was not that is why you came to Brazil, scared? Nobody was going to hurt you, you spend much less disease. In fact, the U.S. has eradicated many diseases such as Brazil and they always spend money to finish them. Joe unfortunate.

  • @wisefelipe dude google it like Rogan said, Wikipedia says "Germany, the Netherlands and Brazil also have high prevalences of around 68%, over 80% and 67% respectively". Check out the CDC page on it for even more info...

  • @nowimnothing30

I live in Brazil my friend, you'd think that if 70% of the country had this disease, someone would have heard of it, AND NO ONE HAS.

  • @BrKT85

The flu is not deadly either, and everyone knows it.

  • Where the hell did he get this information from? The Simpsoms???

I don't... I'm sure he didn't mean to be disrespectful, but you can't just go around saying something completely crazy like that without doing some research.

Ok, I stopped at "they get it from killing rats". I've never seen a freaking rat in my life....

  • @wisefelipe He was talking about the cats killing rats.

  • well ... FUCK YOU ... Joe Rogan

  • Saying facts is one thing, now assuming that their entire culture is based around a worm is simply disrespectful. I'm Italian and I really think you were disrespectful.

  • I like Joe, but he seems like a idiot saying this. So 60% off brazilian ufc fighters are infected, and probably Cheick Kongo! Get informed better.

and What about these others 2 idiots?

  • joe's not a qualified professional and sometimes he talks like he's got a master's degree in biology when in reality he's just a pothead who thinks he's smart because he learns things from google. i like joe rogan as a ufc host, comedian, and scientific theorist but he needs to get facts straight and know that "google" doesn't have all the correct answers because he's making himself look like an idiot.

  • @ACIDOCEAN1 you a but liker.. but likers are haters that go like " i like the guy BUT.." you hate the guy, you are just a but liker hater lol

  • @Nuoz yeah i like to fuck your mom's asshole. it's really tight around my big dick.

  • Toxoplasmosis? Fuck off! I live in Brazil and don't know one single person who have this shit. This is ridiculous.

  • LOL just so you won't jump on me lmaaaao

  • lol never looked at cats the same after hearing this..

  • so thats why I`m a nervous person ......some Brazilians get defensive when you dont talk really well about our really fucked up country hahahahaha

  • Joe Rogan loves conspiracy theories, listen to him talking about 911 hehehe

  • lol Rogan looks like a fat kebab shop owner in this vid

  • joe hogs hahaha that videos funny az shit man. whats the video with the rats jumping on cats? toxoplasma?

  • Everything I keep reading about Toxoplasmosis Gondii in Brazil shows and average of 17% of the population has it... not 60%

  • @Nayib1 can Toxoplasma be cured?

  • @skylinefootball so far there's no proven cure for it, from what I've researched but I'm not an expert, just what I read online several health sites etc.

  • brasil es #1 best country huehauhuaehuaheuahuehuehuehuehuehuehue

  • Now we know why Brazilians are terrible at HoN

  • @hornology
