  • did you noticed that tha brown dog got a a soccer ball at 1:25

  • i mean 1:25 - 1:28

  • BALL! :) 2:25 - 2:28

  • Oh god forbid your dog be happy and tail-waggy

  • I like to talk to dead cats :D

  • I talk to my two pups all the time and love when they pay attetion

  • I like how he does what he says not to do to his own dog.

  • Hahaha 0:22 - 0:24 XD

  • I want somthing excited

  • lol at the soccer ball in the dogs mouth

  • helpful:D

  • How would I do freestyle with my pitbull if she was this shut down???. There is nothing wrong with a dog that is not shut down and depressed and worried (like his dogs are). I feel sorry for them, and what he said about baby talk is bs. His alpha roll video is just disgusting. The little brown and white pittie is really scared of him. You call that being a leader? A real man doesn't need to intimidate. His methods and info are outdated and his need for dominance is pathetic.

  • your dogs are so cute i mostly like the light brown dog not the white and brown spotted one

  • If your just playing, baby talk is totally fine, it's when you're training them, or you need to be serious that you should have a stern voice. Baby talk just makes them happy and want to play, and that's totally fine, as long as you can calm them down later. A lot of it depends on the dog, as well.

  • Howcast Video was better they played silly music :D

  • I baby talk my dogs :( Hey LOVE it though :D

  • pant leg hahahahahha LOL

  • in some your videos your dogs are so sad explain why

  • .....sounds like u wanna scare the dog

  • screw calmness. theyre cute wheen their happy

  • @cierrablake exactly

  • i love that dog i have just like that

  • some expert yo are fuck you i want an exciteing dog!

  • I like how I got an ad after the video finished... they should do that for all ads :)

  • Ur not an expert... Ur just bad

  • Stone age.

  • flag for animal abuse poor puppie doggys like to make it get noticed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:[

  • Lol you don't need to use a stern voice to train your dog! Plenty of people use happy minnie mouse voices and have really well trained dogs! This is ridiculous. The only reason I don't use a happy voice with my dog is because I am not that excited all the time, but I still say them in a pleasant voice, I don't just say "SIT" in a stern and commanding voice like a drill sergeant or anything like that. Training your dog should be fun for the dog and you, it isn't the same as boot camp!

  • itz a pitbull pretty 1 2

  • what a dull owner, dogs look unhappy, who wount with such a bad energy.

  • my dog is fat!!!my other dog ways about 8 pounds add the hair ways12 pounds

  • that is not a boxer

  • I understand where you're coming from like talking to them with initiative and all that but there are two people. One has a dog as a pet and the other has a dog as a best friend. Petting them without talking to them is not very friendly and you just make them feel like nothing and like they aren't worth you. But that's just me. I'm the one that has a dog as a best friend..

  • your dog look well bored

  • You are right. You have to be the leader or they will walk all over you. I have a friend that talks "baby talk" to her dog and HE is the king of the house.. Everything he does, she thinks is funny, so he does whatever he wants, gets into the trash, jumps on the table. My dog knows not to do that. I can leave a plate of food on the floor, and she knows not to touch it, And I have never hit her or have been aggresive with her. Just the tone of your voice gets the message across.

  • 0:24 so funny

  • why do expert village sux so bad

  • How was this guy chosen to make this video? He knows absolutely nothing.

  • Your dogs never seem happy in these videos.

  • that's a gorgeous dog! What breed is it? I'm thinking it's a mix between a bull dog and something...

  • @CloudyLight786 boxer

  • Thumbs up if you saw a gay ad

  • this is partly true but I honestly like talking to my dog and I think they love getting attention. I didn't adopt my 2 dogs, 3 cats, and 4 ferrets to totally ignore them and pretend they dont exist. I love them and spend a LOT of time with them.

  • this is so true

  • I just can't understand how almost no one can hear the sense in what this guy says!

You're just selfish if you want a hyper dog because dogs arent happy just because they're hyper. Dogs are happy when they can relax because they know that their leader protects watches for them.

This guy here says exactly what Cesar Milan says, and have you ever seen Cesar fail with a dog? No.

Furthermore, these dogs are not sad. I'd say they look like my dogs when they've been for a walk in the forest.

  • @kottestaket You simply don't know what you're talking about, which is the same condition that Milan suffers from. If you want to watch real dog trainers in action, watch Dr. Ian Dunbar and Jean Donaldson, both of whom have actual scientific credentials and who have been studying and working with dogs when Milan was still a cosmetician, or on his mythical farm that CNN was unable to locate or verify.

  • @keeg021985 I asked you if you'd ever seen Cesar fail a dog.

  • @kottestaket Numerous times, but someone with no education in canine ethology or animal behavior would likely not have the eye for it. One notorious example is the malamute he strangles and causes to nearly pass out. You can see that, plus other examples of his force-based methods, on Dr. Sopia Yin's site. Milan should go back to being a hairdresser.

  • "No!" When he said that the dogs were like "Holy Sh*t! What did I do?"

  • this is the correct way to talk to dogs: woof! woof, woof!!!

  • you know hes right cause when he said NO! his dogs were like....what what I do?!??!?!

  • So your saying that you cant let the dogs have fun?

  • @MiscellaneousMan97 It's not that they can't have fun... When you walk in the door and starts baby talking to the dog, he is exited. He will be just as happy if you didn't baby talk to him.. It's just that humans get exited when they are happy, so we think that other animals do that too....

  • If I have a dog, I don't want them to feel sad (like what your dogs look like). I actually want dogs to be energetic, excited and happy (to entertain me).

  • Why do you keep poking your dog in his neck the whole time? He was just standing there, but you kept poking him. Was he not allowed to walk around? Why not?

  • what it says in the descrition is wrong if u use a commanding voice and be stern the dog will only get scared u have 2 b kind but firm

  • pack leader lolz

  • cool i subscribed cause the dog poop not realy lol but i did subscribe and thanks for the sub titles

  • cool i subscribed cause the dog poop not realy lol

  • hehe thumbs up if u think that the soccor ball is a stress toy when ever he yells at them lolz lmfao

  • your dogs hate you...they look lonely you like made so much videos with them.

  • this guy obviously doesn't like dogs.

  • One question does this work with wolfs?

  • the dogs look sad :(

  • Seriously your wrong the dog needs some love no wonder they are so sad

  • wwrong u suck big balls ur a dick to all animals

  • do they really think deaf people are gonna want to talk to their dog pfffft

  • I love the dog's yawn. :)

  • if u dont want a dog to be happy and excited then dont get a fucken dog.

    get a cat.

  • thats sad u said noo!!!!!!! and they jumped and he got his ball

  • i like to talk to my dog like he said not too i enjoy it lol and he likes it i no it

  • i like ur brown dog and his stance

  • What is with all the rude comments, this guy is good, ofcorse you have to be playful annd energetic with your dog but if you speek to him in a high voice all the time they become to hyper and unstable, they need consistancy between playtime and relax time.

  • 1:14 lol the other dog tried to get in =))

  • i like my dog hyper (his not a big dog)

  • dam i messed up my dog by talking like a baby

  • I don't have pets, wish I could, but honestly I don't fully agree with this guy. It's good to talk in a baby voice to them occaisonally, it keeps them interested. Plus, I wouldn't want a calm robotic dog all the time. I at least would want to see my dog energetic sometimes...

  • that really answered my question for today.. because i cant talk baby to my dogs i find it hard for me..

  • I don't really agree with this guy. Dogs are social animals, and a little baby talk won't hurt anyone. If my dog was as lethargic and boring as his dog, I don't think I'd love him very much. :/ You can tell a lot about this trainer just by his training methods, and I certainly wouldn't ever want to be friends with him. So serious, stern, and strict all the time...

  • that is really fucking helpfull man. wen mi dog bites my computer cord i tell the dog no in a semi loud voice but she deosnt do anything unless i get up lol. its liker shes blowin me off wat do i do

  • Who the hell want a boring calm dog gaywad

  • i don't agree with the first part of the video

you should talk to your dog and you should talk with a bayby voice (especially when it's a puppy)

the dog will always be exiting no matter what...you can't just order your dog to have different moods when ever you want and feel like it

if you are being so strict with your dog he won't develop his personality

  • So your just dictating the dog on everything. Not letting it show his emotions. Just a boring poker face dog. How.. exciting, exactly what every dog owner wants :o

  • what a tard.

  • You are so wrong! You should talk to your dog all the time! Talking to your dog helps him to learn and increases his capacity to understand you. Use baby talk when you want to have fun, calm talk when you want to relax. Don't ever get angry at your dog! If you only ever talk to your dog when he's doing something wrong he'll learn to associate your voice with punishment and won't enjoy your company more over he'll learn that bad behaviour =attention and continue the bad behaviour to get attention

  • @jacqui1807 Well, when you do something wrong, your parents are angry right? What would yo do if YOUR dog did something wrong? If u pull him, he would pull you and he feels the pain. If you say no in a low voice, he wouldn't listen to you. You just have to teach him how not to attack people, bark at them and so on.

  • I love hyper dogs.....

  • i tell my dog i love him all the time. and then he says he loves me back!

  • Who says we don't want excited dogs? You can fool around with your dogs and still be a great and respected leader. And you don't have to sound angry to get your dog to listen - this video sounds like dog trainers sounded 20 years ago!

  • @heelwork2music actually, what the guy said in the video is true. My cousins had a dog, and every time my mom saw it she would talk to it in a high pitched "baby voice" that would get the dog really excited. It would start to nip at her like a dog does and would try to play. The problem was that she did this every time, and when the dog got older it didn't need to hear the baby voice to get excited: it would jump up on her and start biting her as soon as she came into view.

  • your really cute and you know about bogs whats cool. so sweet xxx

  • @crazykc4ever im mean dogs not bogs lol

  • i guess I agree with this guy if you want your dog to be calm in public or before you sleep but sometimes you want to goof off with them right?

  • I have never found that dogs get very excited by baby talk. Speaking in a light voice can calm a human being, and I suppose the same is true with dogs. Hearing a threatening voice certainly does not make a dog calm (even though it may have learned to react by inhibiting impulses).

Moreover, one must not confuse arousal and happiness. Playing hunting games or smelling a dog of the opposite sex can make a dog aroused, but aroused dogs must not be confused with dogs which are merely happy.

  • i disagree this full is an retard it

  • thanks ryan seacrest

  • lol 0:22 to 0:25

  • I disagree. I use baby talk with my binky and she is very obedient and does exactly what I want her to do when I want her to do it. She gets excited when I talk to her that way, but so what? Any other time she's calm just like mommy, so big whoop, right?

  • It's the dogs antics that makes them endearing. Why take that away.

  • calm dogs are boring. i love hyper dogs.

  • so do i thats why i have a retriever

  • why?

  • This guy doesn't want any "extra excitement" in the dogs' life. Why then get a dog? Who can very well be well-trained, and obedient, but can definitely have fun too! Not just remain quiet, quiet, quiet all the time.

  • umm i take that as a DUMB VIDEO

  • aww c'mon...I dont want my dog to be a fuckin robot. part of what i enjoy most is when he's a little crazy and running around playing having a good time. I too have a Pit bull, and baby talk to him all the time. does not make him less submissive. and if he gets out of line, witch is not often just say NO! and his biggest punishment is going back outside, just take away what he wants the most, being with you..go ahead baby talk" Thata Boy BabyBubba Boo" ha

  • ..yeah, nice ..until your ugly pit bites the head off your baby some day!

  • are you 5yrs old? whats your beef? all your comments are childish. It would be ok if you were a little funny. your just dumb and just out to get into a argument..im not gonna play

  • I AM funny...you just dont get it because it`s to deep for you!

  • hehe. bites the head off your baby......that's funny.

  • The brown dog was abaut to play football!

  • WHAT CALM?!??! shut up!!! wtf thats what u need a dog for? for him to sit and be quiet?!?!?

the whole point of getting a dog is playing with him and that hell be happy!!!

  • You can't dictate the terms in which a person will get a dog: People need dogs for all sorts of reasons. But,he's right about what he's saying in THIS vid',because the calmer you are,and the calmer your dog is,the more you can trust him/her to not display nervous behaviour in your absence/presence.There will always be things that excite her/him: Favorite toy, food, treat(not the same thing),company,etc..The more you can get him/her to relax the more people will enjoy her/his company. Those are pits!

  • No you fucking moron he mean's to calm the dog when it need's to be calmed.

  • Shut up you cocaine sniffer

  • 1:09 :D OMG this is funny as hell!!

  • i love that name, hewie

  • you should be a dog trainer you sound like you know what ur doing and maybe hell you could help me train my dog hewie and his mom lol

  • Nice video I appreciate the tips

  • my rat retriever would let me leave the room how can i get her to relax and stay one place

  • being a dog owner myself i find the tips useful..not to mention the dogs are adorable...would be better if the audio were to be improved...thank you...

  • I talk alot to my dog, and she is calm :) I use a light and caring voice. Many dogs like that simply because it's friendly.

  • the dog whisperer is a great show, many trainers have to study the psychology af an animal to understand the way their minds work. and it works great, and puts an understanding between the dog and its caretaker.

  • This guy obviously has no education or training in the science of canine behavior, and has apparently watched too many episodes of that idiotic series The Dog Whisperer.

  • ssss

  • i wanted to no how to make your dog talk no how to speak to them

  • Your dog is supposed to be your friend. Not a slave. Would you 'command' a friend to sit? How about just using a normal speaking voice? You could even use 'please' as part of a cue. For example: would you please sit down. Much calmer and easier that saying SIT is such a threatening tone. (BTW I notice your dogs don't sit when 'commanded' to. You have to force them)

Both teach and reward good behavior. Dogs are not spoiled by treats or rewards, they are spoiled by neglect or intimidation.

  • thank you id0069.

I do not believe that all people are evolved qutie enough to even accept ,that by rewarding ,is in no way "spoiling". It is teaching the animal what you would like to see more of. It is building a bond, and ground for communication. Instilling fear is indeed abuse. It teaches the dog to do nothing from fear of consequences that may occur by doing anything.

I much prefer a confident dog, eager to meet new people and dogs. Not one scared to move.

  • look at animals in the wild though I understand what you mean but dogs need a leader/friend i agree this video isnt much help but a mistake that people make is thinking that their minds work like people, when it doesnt, in fact in alot of ways they are smarter.

  • Dogs are great beings---they are my life and my career, but they ARE NOT smarter than humans in any way. Milan is an uneducated traditionalist who has set the science of canine behavior back 40 years. If you want to learn something about what dogs are and how they really learn, read The Culture Clash by the academically educated behaviorist Jean Donaldson (that's a good start).

  • @keeg021985

Milan in god, shutup you hippy.

  • @StickyJargon You might try spelling 'hippy' with its original, and traditional, spelling of 'hippie,' next time. You also should make an attempt to punctuate correctly (there should be a semicolon between 'god' and 'shutup'). Yes, I have long hair, a graduate degree, and smoke pot as often as possible. I'm also an atheist. You are a moron.

  • @keeg021985 The guy on the video is cute, though. I wouldn't mind letting him use some of his force-based training methods on me, 'Milan IN god.' Imbecile.

  • @keeg021985 Milan grew up with a balanced dog pack and has tried to be close to them for his whole life,m and he's smart enough to see connections. I've had dogs for three-four years and that's way enough for knowing that Milan is The man.

Wtf, do you think that dogs' behaviour has changed the last fourty years?! No! They still work the same and they do need a leader, not som fruckin candy.

  • @kottestaket Go get yourself in a Ph.D. program in ethology and applied animal behavior, and then, once you learn that Milan knows as much as dog behavior as a goat knows about cat behavior, we can discuss it further. I never said dog behavior changed in 40 years you moron, I said that Milan set dog training back 40 years. Learn how to read.

  • @keeg021985 hmmm i guess that doggy brain research place that changed the lives of many was uneducated to huh! you should learn how to explore other trainers instead of one! that's how i learn what i do about dogs

  • @80spopQueen WTF? Perhaps you should explore English grammar and spelling ---- then you could learn how to write.

  • While Cesar promotes the idea of clear, consistent leadership, he is really a bully, not a leader. His goal is always make sure dog stops doing something. He never teaches what it should do. He consistently creates a negative learning environment. Eventually, dog shuts down. Successful leaders are benevolent and lead by example and by resource management, not force. This works becuz the pack grows stronger as a whole. That strength reinforces the leader. Google 4pawsu for a better explanation.

  • Wow Roca, that is some serious pent up anger you have. I can only wonder what your dogs must have to endure because of how angry you are inside. The method you used to train your dogs probably seemed to work for you because it fits your violent nature. Calm down and relax a bit. Stop being the comedian and try to laugh yourself. Positive is more fun than aversive. Positive training does take more thought than aversive, so, well..

"in dog training, "jerk" is a noun, not a verb."

  • this guy is good. he trained my dog

  • these idiots do not have the slightest clue of what they are wasting perfectly good film for. If you have got to raise your voice, you have already messed up. If you do not talk to your dog in an upbeat and reassuring way, I advise that you begin to. Dog respond to tone. Why would you want to use anything but positive tones in order to communicate?

I would suggest to anyone who watches this piece of crap to run far and fast. Find a trainer in your area that offers positive training methods.

  • OHH and like u do?

  • I am sorry. Where you directing your comment to me?

Do you know me? I am certain that the answer is no.

And, if you are really interested in dog training, search "clicker training" it is where professional trainers in the modern day live. Not on a couch talking to a webcam.

    Dog Bless!

  • Damn Right Im Directing My Comment To You. This Worked For My Dogs. Thay Have A Banner Which Means You Can Trust This Account And Their Videos.

If You're A 89 Year Old Woman With 47 Cats and 3 Are Dead I Really Dont Give A Shit.

So Why Waist Your Damn Time Making A Fit About This Video And Just Dont Post A Damn Comment. Just Move On With Your Lonley Life!!

    -Rocawhite Productions

  • he could be right though, coz dogs dont talk to each other like humans.

  • Thanks, thats realy helpful!

  • soccer ball XD

  • LMFAO. "No" and he got his soccer ball lol.

  • thatnk goodness 4 this video bcuz i always talked to my dog in a baby voice

  • My dogs very hyper and i know i made him that way...and he's staying that way!My little arkie!!

  • the dog popped a soccer ball lol

  • And, for all of the uneducated people, using positive reinforcement, whether using treats or praise or favorite toys, is really not spoiling at all. It is teaching without the use of punishment. If you are one who thinks that by training with treats, you will be stuck giving treats forever, you are incorrect. Beginning a new behavior one should use high value rewards, but eventually, rewards other than simple praise and respect for your dog no longer will be needed. 27yrs animal training. Trust

  • When you use a "stern or angry" tone you are only telling the dog you are displeased. You are in no way relating to your dog what you would rather have him/her do. Instead of jumping on you train a behavior that is not compatable, such as "sit". If your dog is sitting, obviously he/she cannot be jumping on you. Reward for good behavior and teach an incompatable behavior for unwanted behavior. So simple but people seem to enjoy using aversive methods over positive.

  • this was the only vid of ur that i half disagreed with, but it rly is a matter of opinion in how u want to mold ur dog, and no1s a bad owner for that. i dont use babytalk, but i have a excited tone and excited affectionate tone that i use with my dog, and sometimes will be in an excited mood but will instaneously change because by themself, they gauge my reaction. and the biggest issue i see is getting a dog to calm down fast without pissing it off or spoiling it with a treat. just balance tones

  • First, I think the word you may have been searching for in the place of "mold" is to "shape". That is how operant conditioning works. Using small approximations in order to shape a behavior.

With dogs, tone is everything. They do not speak english. You can baby talk to them saying "you stupid little turd' and they will react in an excited way. They respond positively to high pitched tones.

They in turn respond negatively to low pitch or angry tones. You are not teaching when yelling.

  • mold, shape, w/e the point was made, we're not in class. the point of what i said was that u need to train a dog with an upbeat tone and for me, i dont need to used tactics to get my dog to obey, straight training and basic understanding of what i want is how my dog understands me. tone isnt everything, if i said sit in a calm voice, they know to sit, even if i say sit in a stern voice. but theres a difference between stern tone and confrontational tone. maybe my dog is just smart.

  • I really do not know what you call "straight training" and probably do not want to know. I get the idea that you too are of the pre-historic training methods and lets me know that you simply are incapable of accepting better, more progressive approaches.

In comparision to the person training, I am sure your dog has quite a bit of intelligence. I just pity the way the dog is treated and regarded. Most people with the training mentality of yours are paled in intelligence compared to their dogs.

  • i mean it by direct conditioned and using a tactic like sit to also mean to not jump up. and my dog doesnt suffer, they are incredibly affectionate and behaves in everyway to please me because i have taught them how to feel affection and not just another cookie.

  • i havent had to discipline them in years, not once, and is not spoiled, but the most 3 treats a day(and higher quality treats) and the rest of my dog being happy and obeying has since training become unconditional polite behavior toward humans and knowing its place.

  • also, i live in the suburbs around DC and coyotes are starting to show up again and they can kill small and medium sized dogs. Its appropriate to use stern or low pitch tone when I walk my dog because i need to train them that there is a always possible chance of danger and when i call in a certain tone, i expect it to respond knowing it sounds urgent and different to the sounds of a carefree house which they r conditioned to feel completely safe. a good part of training is love and common sense

  • omg, i really do not believe what I just read here. You really do not have a clue do you? I am very sorry for your disability.

It seems I accidently commented on a post made by someone who really is mentally lacking. I truly am sorry. Best regards to your dogs and make sure those coyotes do not get you. I think your dogs will fair fine however.

  • Comment removed

  • ok, im done and i dont need to respond back to u in this childish language which is why no one takes u seriously and u probably piss off the retards who beat their dogs in spite. go eat ur dogs remains with the coyote while all ur high pitch whining distracts it from the thing that looks like any other pet dog it has met but rly is rabid. try having a point or any argument period refuting you instead of imaginary pity.

  • How did that teach me to walk my dog?

  • It didn't - read the title, it's how to TALK to your dog.

What he says about using a deep voice is right on; my puppy will listen to my "darth vader voice" even when she's in a hyperactive frenzy.

  • now i understand.
