  • Gotta memorize.

Good song, but ms. Taylor is a bitch.

  • fuck u

  • we still sing this song with pride at every assembly/color day....everything!!!!

we are required to learn the words and are "quizzed" on it, and it's on the back of our tiger guides (little calendar books)

at the end when the drums kick in, everyone puts two fingers up to the beat!

  • we still sing that song

    GO SPHS

  • love it! I graduated in 1997 and we always sang it at every assembly. I came to SPHS as a junior and I never had much school spirit, but at every assembly ALL the kids would sing it and have SOOO much school spirit! Thanks for this!

  • this is still our alma mater. i know it by heart because a teacher required us to memorize it. we sing it now...not so seriously but we sing it

  • I am graduating tomorrow [June 19,2009], Go Tigers!!

  • Yes... Pasadena Florida! Thanks, RR

  • I'm posting this for a bunch of us from SPHS.....just so they can "remember".......OHHHH!!

  • I loved singing this song at football games, basketball games, assemblies.....I even still remembered ALL of the words and the tune - WOW - Class of '76.....glad to see it still going strong!!

  • A little information about this song. It was written by two students in 1946 as the result of a competition to replace the old alma mater. I know this because my dad wrote the music, and another student wrote the words, so I grew up knowing the tune (although I never memorized the words). It's fun to see it on YouTube - very cool. Maybe it's time for another few students to step up and write their own.

  • yeah that song most definately the current alma mater... its also part of the freshman English final

  • I went to South Pasadena High and yes we sang it. Class of 68

  • HAHAHHA.

  • Comment removed

  • seriously, go an hero

  • Wow. I still remembered the words! They were burned into my memory as a sophomore in 1982. Back when SPHS was only 10th thru 12th grade.

  • We had to sing this every Friday at our assemblies-SPHS class of '64.

  • yeah this is still our alma mater...

  • LOL.

  • We have to memorize this for hw..xD

  • we really do hahaha.

we have like a alma mater test like the

first week of every year. well .. at least

my four years ! hahaha. but i guess it's

not taken as a joke anymore. we would

literally sing it at every assembly and

game even if we lose ! hahaha

  • we still use this song as our alma mater ... haha

    we sing it every assembly/game/etc.

  • We NEVER sang it in our day!!! This would have been seen as being so uncool no one would have done it. The words are hysterical. Do the kids really sing it straight or is it a big joke?

  • straight. but nobody shows any enthusiasm.

  • Funny, cause I remember singing (and having to sing it) - Class of '76

  • of corse we dont sing it hHAHHA.

i actually dont even know the words.
