This car is a standard Viper ACR, of which hundreds were made. It's not a stretch to say he's driven one. I believe you can even buy most of the parts to turn a standard Viper into an ACR. There might be some suspension or downforce or some other components they purposefully won't sell you, though, to keep a standard SRT-10 from being an ACR.
ACR > ZR1 thus why the zr1 is extrememly marginal IMHO coming from a chevy guy. The Zr1 for its price should have been TT or run at least more boost considering it's s/c w i/c for it's price the only thing you can't hate on is the carbon breaks which crap on the viper other than that the ACR shits all over the ZR1 in every category. Both interiors are absolute garbage for a car of their price. At the end of the day the viper has a truck engine if you want to compare engine for engines lol.
"extremely marginal" makes about as much sense as "extra medium." But forget semantics, calling the ZR1 marginal is just ludicrous. You can make a case that the ACR is better (though as an all-around car, I think that's pretty ridiculous, too) but you can't call the ZR1 marginal. Besides, even if you're ONLY considering track performance, the ACR is only marginally (see "marginal" works there) better, and then only if you're an expert driver. Put an average driver in each and the zr1 wins.
I own a viper with a paxton novi 2000 supercharger and it is a handfull to drive. I would like to try the vette to compare for myself but my friends are all losers and don't have a pot to piss in never mind having a vette. Farmington.Its loud as !@#$. I changed the cats to stainless super high flow and installed a corsa cat back system then deleted the two side mufflers, I left the two rear mufflers in place. It is a handfull to drive but its cool and fun at the same time.
Viper is so underrated. Its the only American sports car I like, freaking huge engine with tons of torque and great styling. Corvettes are cheap. Set in a ZO6, would think I was sitting in a Cobalt if my eyes were close. LSX motors are great, but the cars they go in suck.

Hey I have driven both the zr1 and the dodge viper acr in a thing that came to my town all and all the viper is much better I would take that car any day and people ask if you could have any car for free what would it be, it would be a buggatti veyron and sell it so i can buy the viper acr and still have cash left over to buy more for my friends and family!!

I do like how the corvette has a more 'up to date' feel though with the interior, since the viper is so simple and racey but in a good way. I would take a viper over anything. I've also driven an Audi R8 (the v8), Aston Martin DB9, and other cars I cant think of right now. R8 and DB9 were more well behaved in the parking lot than the viper lol :P

Yes..the ZR! is a great ride also. Hats off to the bowties, but without the Viper setting the the bar higher and higher. The new ZR1 would not exist. See there is a big misconception about this... Germans would add hp but always sacrafice torque. You see Jeremy on Top Gear always says but it's just a ratio. You can add hp and lower torque or visa vera like in many trucks. This car is a torque MONSTER. Huuugely fat tires with miles of grip. It's a true drivers car. ACR is 600hp/560torque, an absolute ANIMAL!

The bigger the engine, the more torque it's going to be able to produce. This is the exact reason why the Viper gets much better MPGs compared to other cars with the same hp ratings. Also, a bigger engine is going to be more reliable then a smaller engine pushing the same hp due to less stress.

Yes..the ZR! is a great ride also. Hats off to the bowties, but without the Viper setting the the bar higher and higher. The new ZR1 would not exist. Chevy has always built the Vette but for years it was just enough to beat a Mustang or Camaro or some laim non turbo 911. The VIPER has been bad ass from day 1. With that said it is so nice nice to have a 1..2..Punch of American asskickin..in the Viper and the ZR1!!!!!!

The European Spanish Caucasians financed Columbus to find a shorter route from Iberia to the Indies, rather than the overland trade route through Arabia, and this was in reference to the spice trade being dominated by the Italians & Arabs. Columbus arrived in America instead, and it is celebrated as "Columbus Day", not "Spain financed Columbus Day". idk y we do good things with em like this acr for example hold record for fast lap time at the ring for production car, the 350 chevy is a small motor and you c them every were because they are great motors, i know dodge has alwasy had good 4cylinder turbo motors like the new caliber srt4 and old neon srt4 they make 285hp out of new caliber, yea we dont have like stuff witht the 4.2L it hink v8(bmw) or 4.0 v12s and stuff,

See there is a big misconception about this... Germans would add hp but always sacrafice torque. You see Jeremy on Top Gear always says but it's just a ratio. You can add hp and lower torque or visa vera like in many trucks. This car is a torque MONSTER. Huuugely fat tires with miles of grip. It's a true drivers car. ACR is 600hp/560torque, an absolute ANIMAL!

The bigger the engine, the more torque it's going to be able to produce. This is the exact reason why the Viper gets much better MPGs compared to other cars with the same hp ratings. Also, a bigger engine is going to be more reliable then a smaller engine pushing the same hp due to less stress.
