the dell d531 is crap because some how the computer is malfunctioning again and we just changed the mother board and it is sloowwww i installed windows 7 on it and it slowed down ,xp is crap and vista is kinda crappy (windows vista ultimate came with the system) and it is slow. so if you r just going to use it for very light business than this is ok....ish but gaming is ridiculas so far i do not reccomend this pc

My latitude D531 doesn't have a wireless card. Well i dont know if it has one or not lol. How can i find out and if i don't have one, i will buy one, but i have no idea where to insert it. Please help.

There is a slot on the side , and you just plug it in the big slot on the side ...

I have this laptop for almost 2 years.. I think the fan had died on me.. It's not spinning and my laptop is getting hot (overheated).. Every time I turn on the laptop, I have to put a fan underneath it. I really need a youtube video on how to replace the fan.. This laptop is not so good and very slow, but atleast I have internet.

It is good, you have just broken the fan... which makes it overheated and slow.

hey ppl i have a huge problem with my latitude c810.... im pretty sure its the HDD but whenever i try to boot up my laptop, it has the logo and then it goes to a square with a bunch of colors and characters in it.... im posting this on every video about dell laptops so if there is anyone that can help me, that would be really good. cheers

You can't make the screen bigger, you hold FN and the up and down arrows to increase / decrease the screen brightness.

This is a good review, even though I cannot stand this particular notebook computer. My company issued me a D531. I travel on business 50% of the time. I am a VMWare power user. I cannot stand this laptop. It is a very heavy system, making it a joy to carry in the field. As pointed out in the review, there is no pointing stick. I have clock issues with VMWare guests, because of the AMD dual core processors. If you are purchasing hardware for your company, do us a favor and go with a D630...

it arrived, its really really nice. not too heavy although or big. the screen is lush. battery on a 6 cell is about 4 hours max. no problems so far. i would recommend

it is built very well. The screen is awsome, however you may feel it is heavy, but i dont seem to mind that much. It does come with a wireless adaptor, but if it doesnt have one already built in, dell has provided a PC card slot so you can use you removeable cards.
