Even though the Z has approximately 65 MORE hp than the SRT 4. The SRT 4 is lighter and putting down that power on a 2.4 4 cyl. (Not saying you own a 2005, just trying to give a comparison.) 300 hp on a V6 will not be the same as 300 hp on a 4 cly.= LOGIC

350Z is cheap, but even in full stock, is devil on tracks, that's why it's a very respected car, the price vs efficiency is unbeated, great job from Nissan.

NEVER does a solid rear axle need aligned or need a part replaced...trust me...i know

A cast iron block is heavier than an aluminum block - it's built for FI application - the VQ35 was built for NA. Iron block = more weight = heavy ass car. The 300ZX was nothing but a dyno queen. Throw a 350Z through a corner and watch the 300ZX try and come through with it's stupid HICAS 4 wheel steering system (aka GIMMICK.) I killed so many 300ZX TTs when I had my 350Z it was ridiculous.  I love my Z brothern but sometimes they just don't know what they are talking about.

Actually no, they are RATED 306 at the flywheel. In 2006 or 7 they changed the way they calculate horsepower on the Z. If they had used the OLD FORMULA it would be about 320-330 horsepower. In other words it has about 19 more ON PAPER but over 35 more in REALITY....ALL RATINGS ON ALL CARS ARE FLYWHEEL / CRANK. If your manual says 306@the wheels then it's wrong.

Master tech or not, some more research and/or math will tell you that a loss of 14-24 hp is ridiculous. 350Z have weak stock internals they cant hold up much more than 400hp reliably. SRT4s can hold a similar amount not bad for just a neon 4 banger. 350Z are nothing compared to supras and other cars in there class especially when not boosted. Stock and stock srt4 takes 350z in a straight line. I was expecting a stronger pull from the Z with a 6000 upgrade compared to a stage 1 srt4

yea it looked like he was playing with the srt4 and was obviously faster but I was expecting him to pull harder than that. Besides my buddy has one of those turbonetic bolt on kits for his Z and only mannage a best trap speed of 110mph in the 1/4 at 2500ft elevation not very impressive for a 6000 dollar upgrade.
