If you would like to get into your sealed headlight fixture it is possible. I did it on my GTI by removing the whole fixture and placing it in the oven at 220F for about 15min. This will then allow the Silicon to soften and then pry open with a medium wide stiff mud knife. It will come apart quite easily and after cleaning the inside of the glass then replace the Silicon with new stuff and put back.
nope, that clunker still has a lot of power left, and i will not give that car up until obama proves that he was born in the U.S. instead of a being an asshole, and besides, the car belongs to the city, i am waiting on another car to replace it, and i am going to buy this car for myself
because in case i get called out on an emergency, i'll have the car in hand with out me driving my van to pick up the car, then lose about 3 to 5 minutes of response time, nahhh i rather get there quick
@CainPire lmao from a guy named Cainpire lol. Its obvious youre brainwashed. its gonna take more than mcCain or obama to fix everything bush fucked up. Maybe you and him should go drink taquila on his island. The guy is rich as fuck with your tax money. U wont be hearing from him for a while
So did you end up getting that moisture out. I have a 08 Corvette and have that problem. I took it to the dealer and the fucker said that is "normal"....BAH! I dont see any other cars in that class having foggy lights after it sits in parking lot in the rain. I think I am going to try to use some RV sealant. Let me know if you found something that works.
normal my ass, that should have been under warranty, i have not seen a faded or dull headlights like that for the 1st 6 years, my dad has his car for almost 7 years since new and his lights havent faded out
Yeah they said it was normal. That it will evaporate as the car is going and the headlamp heats up. To me this is unacceptable for a Corvette. Well that is what you get when you buy American. No wonder sales have plumetted and they had to introduce this "cash for clunkers" boondoggle!
this guy is like puffed out the whole video and all he did is clean his headlight.....really dude?

Tooth paste doesn't work. The best think on the market is Turtle waxes headlight lens restorer kit. AWESOME results.

The headlights on our car are really faded and dull. Thanks for the tip....will have to try it.
blondegal2005 2 years ago
cool.
The only thing is that it takes some elbow grease for really faded headlights.

what if the lense is sand blasted and dull? we are in a state of almost constant blustery wind and blowing dust.
highdeserthater 2 years ago
would that work for tail-lamp lenses?
slainwolf180 2 years ago
yes slain , i put some of it on tail lenses, and it brings the shine back
SpiritsoftheWolf 2 years ago
what about clarity? the lights do not work too well when they are faded & the light no longer passes through
slainwolf180 2 years ago
it brought the shine distance back up, i drove it last night and i have no problem with that, it's better than seeing 3 feet before the restore
