I liked the movie, yes, it is good to see the inner soldier. But, I have also visited the death camps and there is nothing nostalgic about the period. Some of the arrogance although well documented is also gut wrenching. Thank you for sharing your history as you have lived through it. Many others did not.

@Henryk516 The German Army was absolutely horrific in the Eastern Front. The reason for the barbarous nature of the war was not the Soviet Union's, but the Nazis, who determined, after realizing mere human power was not enough, that the Nazi belief system would be necessary. Then they started murdering civilians in horrific ways. It was a war of annihilation. What needs to be watched is the slightest sign of remorse or at least an objection to what the soldiers did.
