Honestly, I love the size of Theramore and I wish there were more towns like it in WoW. It's not quite there in terms of a capital, but it's not some backwater hovel like Blizzard puts forth with seveeral of their towns.

Just a few things:

Varian is not the King of Theramore, but as leader of Stormwind, he is de facto leader of the Alliance (obviously he doesn't have full reign, but he does hold power).

Currently, Theramore is a semi-autonomous entity from Kul Tiras (note the anchors on the guards' tabards), not Stormwind. Stormwind banners hang upon Theramore now.

Jaina is not a friend of the Horde's. She was trusting of Thrall. With Thrall gone and Garrosh in command, who knows how she now feels about them.

As I have heard it, Jaina have becomed high advicer to Varian though still the ruler of Theramore shes in Stormwind to not only help Varian but also to keep the allience as a whole togther after the events in Ironforge were Varian became highly unpopular. As a token of his gratitude he send his son and a whole legion of allience troops to Theramore to defend it against the advances of Garrosh Hellscream.

I don't think so, he's someone who wants to destroy the peace after the war of Hyjal between orc and human. Thrall was orginal think that they should have their own land and don't even bother with human. Now Varian come out of nowhere and start trying to destory the horde and other race.

@IHATEGAYFAMILYGUY If you read the comic you'll see that he does consider peace with the horde untill the twilights hammer attacked. And than again during the wrathgate when the alliance and the horde had that temporary ceasefire. So Varian has considered peace its just that due to unforseen circumstances that peace is broken so he gave peace a chance it failed and now hes moving on. And in Cataclysm Thrall isnt the leader ne more Garrosh is and i dont think he wants peace lol

Whats probably happened is Varian has taken Jainas command from her, and used Theramore as a staging ground to attack the horde.

This isn't Jainas doing, since the banners across the marsh and southern barrens are stormwind banners.

@likeerhater3 Varian is a joke NPC that was put in there to please the Alliance after their massive amount of QQ of not having a decent faction leader to compete with Thrall. Even now, Varian is still pathetic when you compare him to Garrosh.

It is interesting what Thrall says at the end of the Troll starting zone before stepping down. Garrosh is a very two-edged gift to the Horde.

@rtgoodson Ure right, but actually as far as im aware Theramore is ment to be independant. Having been built by survivours from mostly lordaeron. Its pretty much broke ties with Kul Tiras after one of its forces under Jainas father virtually occupied the city and used it as its own staging ground.. thats before the horde came and "liberated" the city xP

I also find it annoying that, if this is true, Stormwind.. which owes its existance to the people of lordaeron for liberating its lands from the Old Horde.. repay the debt by pretty much occupying lordearon's own lands. Note the banners in the alliance parts of Andorhal and the rest of the WPL are stormwind banners.. not Lordaeron.. -.-

@TyranidsBJ So its just a banner, Ive seen dwarves use that banner, the 7th legion uses that banner and most of them are from diffrent races. And although its the Stormwind Banner it is the symbol of the alliance I wouldnt be to supprised if the ppl that andorhal happen to be people from Lordaeron.

@kimahri45k don't forget that Thrall has disappeared (or something like that) and Garrosh has became the new warchief, so I think that the horde attacked theramore and Variann helped out Jaina and launched a counter attack against the orc and the barrens.
