Thanks so much for sharing this video and for your words in it - they sure come from the Soul....! I think everyone who has commented have already said what I feel. Swimming with them is one of my dreams too, and the video has made me shed a few tears, I can't explain it but it's a mixture of joy and deep feelings I get when I see these beautiful creatures..They touch one's Soul. Thanks again! And Ill be checking out your page.
@artiguista18 They are just amazing, aren't they! They evoke our own joy and love so easily and gracefully... its a joy to bring people to met them! Thanks for your beautiful comment!
Scenes like these is I guess the main reason for me to consider my choice of future studies. I have one and a half year left before I start on a university and the choice is between chemistry and biology... Right now, it's heavy on the marine biology side, and especially towards cetology...
As I watch this I'm also searching for equipment I can use in private studies of cetaceans... Among them a hydrophone so I might hear them when I can't see them... And an underwater camera of course... =P
@OrciTheOrca Glad the videos are inspiring! Cetaceans are amazing, we have much to learn from them about how to treat each other! Congratulations and good luck on your studies!
I've always wanted to swim with these magical creatures in their natural habitats.... I hope i can reach my future goal and biggest dream once in my life... :(
Thank you so much for sharing this! This is so beautiful. I really wish people would just let them be like this, happy and free in their environment instead of brutally capturing them and taken to amusement parks or slaughtering them for their meat. They're such amazing creatures. I recently saw a very eye opening, award winning documentary on their capture called The Cove. I really wish more people would know about it and help to stop the capture of dolphins...
@paranoidandroid505 If i were to teach u id probly tell u to hold ur breath and just go under water and try to lay down on your stomach (In the shallow end of course) and u would just float up. It all comes easy after that. I taught myself how to swim like that
this is awesome, you got the best job in the world! i hope to get a chance to do this some day, but if not in this life then in the next, Allah willing
i remember the first time i saw a dolphin i was standing on the leas and gazing out across the channel and a dolphin leaped out. for a few moments i thought i was seeing things but it was true a dolphin had come to play :D
but then stupid people came and started grabbing her holding her by her airhole so their kids could climb on her back. i never felt such rage at people before. she got led away by a crew that had her best interests at heart and sadly we dont see her anymore. but it was sweet
i dont see why anyone would want to have a job with dolphins, its cruel. you should let them be free in the wild and not in a pool or tank people happy for a few mins. they should be free and happy like in this video.
When dolphins dance, they mostly care about the interaction of different motions with each other. Therefore, should you wish to improve on swimming with them, don't make sounds. Any human vocalization irritates the dance, especially if you react to their whistles.
Also, I'd advise taking dolphins more seriously. They are very dangerous animals who fight a lot and can be quite aggressive. Few are as friendly as these spotted dolphins.
I've swum with hundreds of dolphins over hundreds of hours in the open ocean, taken hundreds of people into the water to swim with them.
Yes, its important to always pay attention to their behavior, but I'll tell you this; they treat people much better and with more love and gentleness than we typically treat each other!
I know you have some experience in swimming with dolphins. Your experience, however, is limited to the places you visit and the kinds of individuals you meet. The Bahamas and Hawaii are only two places, yet all dolphin societies and personalities differ, largely depending on their environment. I've spent thousands of hours in personal contact with dolphins all over the oceans and its shores. Friendly groups, the ones that divers seek out, are very specific, unique groups and not at all common.
I love dolphins too!!!! This is amazing... I got the opportunity to meet dolphins a few years ago in Hawaii... Every sunrise we went out into the ocean to wait for them to show up. One time they came and there was one who touched my hand with his or her nose... I don't know why but I started to cry... It just felt so ... safe and soft and sincere. Like being friends at first sight with someone!! Thank you! Take care!!
Actually, there's a lot you CAN do, right here, right now... Just imagine the oceans being filled with life, happy and healthy... we live in a quantum world, and your love and blessings go a long way...
I love dolphins they're very magical. I feel a strong connection with them even though I don't live near water or them. I often feel it when I see pictures and videos of them or even hearing them. Have you heard of dolphin children? Its a very interesting subject especially if you like dolphins.
Just thinking of them aligns us with their energy. You don't have to travel to the ocean and swim with them, just picture yourself with them in your imagination and trust the energy and information that flows out of it.... its the most natural thing in the world.
I just love Dolphins, I think of all animals as my friends, but Dolphins have to be the friendliest, most gregarious, and curious of the animal kingdom. I <3 All Animals
Where was this video made? I would love to experience this! Dolphins have got to be as intelligent as humans. Have you seen the bubble rings they can make? OMG
I filmed this (along with most of my dolphin videos) during one of my family dolphin trips to Bimini, the Bahamas. If you're interested in joining us sometime, check out Planetary Partners
The more I dive the more I prefer simple snorkel and rubber sandals (by the way great boyancy for the feet for snorkeling ) Unfetted by tanks, I agree with the author. Also, most of the beautiful reef colors and spectacular reef fish live in 20 ft and less. Great post thanks!
Banderas Bay, Mexico. There are some resident dolphins here in the bay...could you tell them it would be wonderfull to meet again i have not seen them for months...you are welcome to come stay in our house and go meet them together, when the water clears...i 'll keep on comunicating...maybe through dolphins too! Carmen
bottlenose dolphins are a bit shy and can get uneasy if you do a surface dive and swim down with them. spotted and spinner dolphins love the company! if you dive with them, (freedive, not with scuba), they usually race over to say hi!
Mike, they seem a bit shy around scuba, and when we're freediving (using just a mask, snorkel and fins) they are much more inclined to swim right up to us and look us in the eye...
The interactions with them are often so dynamic, it's much easier to turn, dive and twist with them free of a scuba tank.
Yes! There are many many stories of dolphins putting themselves in harm's way to protect us from aggressive sharks. I used to give talks and slide shows @ dolphins, and fishermen would come up afterwards and tell me stories that they were unwilling to share openly because of how unbelievable they are...
Throughout history, dolphins have treated humanity with incredible love and generosity. Let's return the favor!
Viewing this vid, it's like being there again. A thousand thank-yous, Joe, for taking such great care of us and introducing us to your truly AMAZING finned friends!
It was a great week and the dolphins were incredible... thank you so much for taking the leap and joining us! Your joyful exuberance adds to the mix and blesses us all...

We teach non-swimmers how to use a mask and snorkel in less than an hour... so don't let that hold you back!!!

One day, I hope... One day :-)
You are an extremely lucky man, sir. We should all do this at least once in our lives.
If we did, perhaps there would be less bickering over ideologies & theologies in this world...

you already know how to swim!
yo spend 9 months in your mother's belly doing the breast stroke, the crawl and the new baby float! ;)
You'll learn easy enough!
