according to an interview with james roday, at their first encounter on the show, he "swept her off her feet" on set, and maggie lawson "could not resist his sexual prowess". holy crap these two are adorable. so glad they're a real couple.

@v14soccer in their past interviews, they said they started going out in the middle of Season 1..at first they don't want to date so that it won't affect their work relationship but then they just can't help it so they started dating but kept it a secret til the end of Season 2. :) Just search james radio interview if you want. XD
