Had he been born 200 years later he might have been a mere kraut rocker only to give The Thompson Twins, Tears for Fears and Simple Minds a run for their money.
If Mozart had been born between 1970's -80's, he'd probably be a German techno artist. He might've began playing classical piano and violin but I think eventually -- and sadly -- he would end up creating his sound on modern equipment (i.e. drum machine or a computer). More than a few techno djs learn to arrange music this way.
I made that comment while drunk. I simply don't know what Mozart would have become. Maybe he would have been a Sorabji, disciple of Schoenberg or a cashier at a 7 11 but we'll never know.
@vaughangarrick No...Wolfie Loved Opera And I bet if he was alive today, Broadway would have been his Love, and He also would Have been very happy with the Invention of the Synthesizer :) I think Handel would have been In Hollywood :p, And Beethoven In Led Zeppelin or Some Amazing Prog Band :)
@eddiemperor Mozart would waste his life with the useless crap that is trance music? Mozart's music is the opposite of highly repetitive brain-dead trash. Trance music is for druggies.
@Snackay Actually Trance Music is Repetetive yet if you really listen closely you can admire the great art that is Electronic Music it shows countless possibilties of creativity of the producer's minds. My last comment was just a silly Statement, i know the truly genius that possessed in Mozart's Head and Haydn knew it as well. Trust me I know the Genius behind his Keyboard, Symphonic, Chamber, and Sacred Music. Just listen to the String Quartet no.18 in A Major!!
