  • Please stop arguing about your so called talents and that each one of you is the best in the world cuz it sounds like a "watch-me-I-got-the-biggest-longest-one" idiot contest !!! LET US ENJOY this touching genius. Whatever your "expert" rationales, when we painfully read your wicked spirit comments, the only truth is that we won't spend one kopeck to go and listen to you play, whereas we really want to hear again about Han Kim !

  • fatass

  • That's the youngest looking 25 year old I've ever seen.

  • @nathanielkowal You don't know shit. I've had my Rovner Eddie Daniels (the same thing as the Versa before Daniels dropped his endorsement) for 2 years.

  • @Fumbles9001 I do know shit, considering I'm one of the best clarinetists in New Jersey, and the best one in the state I live in! I play on a metal Bonade inverted and a Rovner Versa. If you are playing on a Rovner Eddie Daniels( which as you said is pretty much just like the Rovner Versa) then you obviuosly don't play it too much if it has lasted you 2 years. The cloth gets stretched out and then you need to get a new one.

  • @nathanielkowal I think you're pretty arrogant lol. I'm in Texas, and I've made Region every year since 7th grade, and I'm a freshman in Highschool. I've used the Eddie Daniels in every audition since.

  • @Fumbles9001 I missed my 7 grade audition, but I made my 8 grade audition (The one im in right now).

  • @nathanielkowal I bet your shit. You wanna hear a really clarinet. Why don't you play jazz. Classical is for noobs

  • @EmilianVEVO Dude...I play saxophone, clarinet, guitar, piano, violin, viola, drums, bass clarinet, bass guitar, and I sing.

  • @nathanielkowal Sorry about that....my little brother.....I play accordian, clarinet, guitar (acoustic, classical, rock, electric) bass (as in strings), drums, saxophone, bass guitar, violin, piano, oboe, sing and play bagpipes. All at a professional level. Also, im only 15 years of age. I play a lot of jazz.

  • @EmilianVEVO As a 13 year old, I have not ever touched an accordion, or bagpipes.

  • @nathanielkowal Nice!

  • @nathanielkowal PLUS I AM SELFTAUGHT!

  • I hate you for being so good, and does he live in china? darn freakishly good asian people...:P

  • I hate you for being so good

  • А кому это тут не понравилось? Очень талантливый паренёк

  • He has good finger movement he must have started learning around age of 7 or 8 later on he gonna be pretty good cuz thats wen i started to learn haha

  • freaking asians

  • @tdadmdbd Duh... there awesome!

  • GRAŁEM GRAŁEM !! :D NA EGZAMINIE :PP 5 oczywiście :PP

    xD

  • to pasmo que tecnica que inteligencia

  • He is young and not know the reality of music and it's sensuality. He will learn one day once he is an adult himself. But for now he is just fine.

  • all state piece... i hate you for being so good.

  • fml.... DX

  • you are the best!!!!

  • Actually lemme re-type that:

    OVAR 9000/5

  • 6/5! AWESOME

  • @liddleNDNduckiee high school-college

  • @liddleNDNduckiee High School level it isn't hard at all you just need to be determined and hardworking and it's very easy

  • How adorable the boy is...

  • @liddleNDNduckiee college or advanced High School

  • One Word...................Beautiful :'(

  • Two things I would do to make him a better player... fix hand position and horn angle... but WOW!!! what a great clarinetist!!!

  • fuckkkk..

  • I am now extremely jealous of you lol, good job.

  • This brings back memories of Freshman year in HS & a college Sr. recital all french music. I Love french music - So expressive. He does great but I have to agree with others as well speed is great but you can't forget expression.

  • @kfunk01 WTF? How could you say that there's no expression, have you no musical sense, Han Kim is a genius, he goes to the same school as me, we are both clarinet music scholars, he is a year older than me, and he barely speaks English very well considering he's been here 2 months! You can't dis this performance in any way, don't envy him, respect and be inspired by Han! This should make you feel good, not like crap!

  • beautiful piece by a forgotten French composer Henri Rabaud

  • hes azian... PLUS hes korean soo skilled i <3 being korean haha

  • @Marchingfreak123 That's a horrible comment....asians are very good because they are determined and very hardworking so they get to there goal... it's common sense people smartin up!

  • @Marchingfreak123 lol But yeah honestly it is about hardwork and determination, being asian has nothing to do with it.

  • yeah i agree wit h wevil now after he play fast people sad very good because he play fast i'ts not realy clarinet is a contribut to music

  • Wow that is amazing!!!

  • amazing..

  • i agree with you on that one.

  • hide kid from woody, he might try to marry it

  • é o diabo! OJSAOIJSIOAJIOJSIAJS

  • what a fatass

  • Wonderful! To those finding fault such as plays flat, moves around to much, holds clarinet at 45 degree angle, well that all is simply unimportant. What is important is that he is incredibly musical and plays with great feeling and emotion and has the talent and the obvious work ethic to get his playing technique to the level where he can express that musicianship. We will see much from him in the future.

  • OK, everybody that feels like crap you shouldn't. This kid isn't very talented. The main reason he sounds like this is because the quality of the Clarinet, and because han kim has had the world's best clarinetist teach him how to play. Combine that with maybe 4 hours of practice a day and you got a excellent clarinet player!

  • @EmilianClarinet also the acoustics of the auditorium and the accompanist

  • Comment removed

  • Gwbehm - First of all I do know what a good clarinetist is. Second - my playing level is level 10. Third i was wrong when i said 4 hours. Fourth This kid is talented, it was late when i commeted on this video and my mind wasn't really there. Fifth you have to admit that he is flat and the reason he has a great sound is because of the clarinet. And i don't give everyone a bad name.

  • Ok, now I feel bad about calling emillianclarinet a moron! All I'm saying is that people shouldn't deflect the fact that players such as this young man are supremely talented with statements like "moves too much," "has a good clarinet," etc. If someone really plays well these statements are meaningless. It's all about what you hear. I have taught and played clarinet at a professional level for 40 years and believe me, what this 11 year old is able to do is truly remarkable.

  • why don't we just forget what was said. it's ok. You are right. It's all about what you hear. and this 11 year is truly remarkable

  • i'm 14 years of age, and taught myself music.

  • @gwbehm

    Incredibly said!

  • @EmilianClarinet

Actually, the mouthpiece and reed make the most difference in tone quality. The clarinet just shapes it to be a little more warm, or whatever. As a general rule, the closer something is to your mouth, the more impact it has on your tone.

  • @EmilianClarinet

    lol gotta agree on tht

  • But where is born this boy ? could be possible to play so weell at this age ?

Where he live now ?? where he studyed clarinet ??

    It is very incredible...

    Roxy italy

  • I played this as part of my A Level recital, it's one hell of a piece and really is tough. I can't believe an 11 year old kid can sound this good.

It's a shame he moves around too much and holds the instrument at a 45 degree angle for most of it :(

  • молодца

  • Nice tone. I mean the kid is only 11 so hopefully he has room to grow but his finger height is concerning.

  • woah.... this kid is awesome!!!

  • Yes it's not 100% perfect but for a player your age we must agree that it's just a stunning performance (and not just thanks to your technique) ! It just took me your age in duration to learn the clarinet and eventually play this piece far worst than you lol. So congrats Han Kim and looking forward to hear from you again when you become professional ;-))

  • we are playing this song in band and the middle school band teacher is having troubles with that part....and we are playing really slow....now thats gotta say something for itself haha ;) congrats Han Kim....you are amazingg!!

i also love the performing arts!!

    ♥Bri

  • sensativity seems to ellude you

  • no. it doesn't. spelling seems to elude you. its S-E-N-S-I-T-I-V-I-T-Y & E-L-U-D-E

  • Dude... "asains.." Should be A-S-I-A-N-S Spelling - Eludes you.

  • Comment removed

  • asains...im not envious cuz theres nothing for me to envy. im just annoyed..

  • Not to mention ignorant.

  • @osh0011 hey im asian. I play the clarinet.

  • @himrasmus101 congratulations?

  • I play the clarinet too & now i play this piece , i like his sound but most of the notes are strait sisteenth notes that are 6th , in my opinion he plays it too fast

  • @reibagg No because the piece is open to interpretation and most people play it like him.

  • I loved your rendition of this piece! It was very beautiful

Be careful of your tone, especially at the end about 4:45 onwards with the triplets and the runs. It started sounding really heavy, where I think that the phrasing could have been lighter. (This is a rather frivolous piece after all)

You play really great for an 11 year old. I'm glad that you're still continuing as a clarinetist :)

  • (FOR ALL OF YOU WHO AFTER WATCHING THIS FEEL LIKE CRAP!) It's not about how perfect your tone is, or how fast you can play. It's what you contribute to the music from deep down inside you. That, NO ONE can replicate!

  • @wevil770 yeah you are right i do feel like crap and that is that i am a tes all stater!!!! i am going to be a senior and i cant even play like that and thats that i practice 24 seven!!! DAMN th asians for being good in everything they do!!! JK JK you asians are freaking remarkable. you make me jeaolus!!! in a good way :)

  • @wevil770 ...no offense...but could you be a comp major???

  • @wevil770 Bro the song isn't hard at all, this kid is determined and hard working that's why he can play this.......

  • @wevil770 No one should feel like crap. He isn't as good as everyone thinks. He practises and has an amazing clarinet tutor and clarinet. People can practise a lot in a year and become as good as him. It's about determination. I am self taught and i could kill him any day of the week. Even at his age now, i would MURDER him. I'm only 15 years of age, self taught, play 13 different instruments at a proffessional level.

  • @EmilianVEVO HAHAHAHA SHUT THE FUCK UP. Yeah, I bet you're a fucking prodigy. Get out of here.

  • @Fumbles9001 Shut up fumbles

  • @EmilianVEVO Haha, at least I'm not an arrogant prick who goes around bragging about how good you are.

  • @Fumbles9001 Everyones like ''this kids freaking sooooo good. Don't feel like crap.'' He isn't that good.

  • @EmilianVEVO hes the best in korea, so shut up

  • @EmilianVEVO

Look, he's a damn good clarinet player, and you're not anywhere near his level. I'd like to see you prepare a concert that many clarinet players would perform as their concert for their PhD. Han Kim is not the greatest clarinet player in the world, but he is damn good, especially considering his age. Now get the fuck out.

  • @Fumbles9001 I'm not anywhere near his level? What hes playing isn't that fucking hard. Are you really that fucking retarded?! I'm WAAY better then this fatass. I've played with actual clarinet players. I'm actually classical, jazz, european etc. all im saying is that everyones saying hes a god, but he isn't that good. Im not saying hes not good, just not as good as most people say. He can only play classical. I'd like to see him with ear.

  • @EmilianVEVO You, sir, are a faggot. He isn't a professional, but he is damn near close. And for some reason, I highly doubt you're as good as him.

  • @Fumbles9001 I am truly sorry about this. My little brother, was on my account. Please except my apology and i thank you for your forgiveness. I actually can play clarinet, at a professional level. Once again, please forgiven my little brothers language. I going to talk to him about this. Anyway God bless you

  • @EmilianVEVO Oh, wow xD Yeah, I know how siblings can be. Best of luck.

  • @Fumbles9001 Haha. Thanks !

  • *For all of you who feel like shit after watching this...* The beauty of music isn't how fast you can play, and how pure your tone is. It's about what feel you put into the music from INSIDE YOURSELF. THAT, no one can replicate.

  • asians, whaddya expect =D

(no offense im azn too.. and it was a complementary comment for all u haters)

  • shittakimushrooms. im in 7th grade. i have this for nyssma.. anyone else? im so screwed. envious of that boyyyyyyyyyy ahh

  • haha, he's making me feel like shit 2

  • im not trying out for high school regionals(im in 8th grade) but we have to do this piece for our wind ensemble audition for the high school. lol, anyone else from ridgewood?

  • He's amazing...

  • holy ****

  • dude... i nearly cried listening to this. im a clarinet player too but im no where near that good. well maybe with just the tone but note the speed. keep it up man

  • @CartoonCollantes Tone should be one of the utmost important things in playing clarinet. Anyone can develop speed with just hours and hours of practice.

  • I am amazed how young people nowadays play perfect the instruments!

  • pushy parents.

  • im goin out for the region band auditions too im a junior and i think that it will be challenging but anyone can get it done with practice....i love this song

  • Its one thing to read the music, but if you memoirze it, your just crazy :P

  • maybe it just comes naturally for him, i tend to memorize my pieces naturally in the time it takes to learn them

  • I loved it!!!!!! Please post more videos very soon! 5/5

  • Comment removed

  • i dont really like it

i have played this song when i am 11 too

he has a very strange speed

  • Jealousy is hard.

  • why is the second section so fast?? it should be about half that speed.

  • it was originally that fast but then they changed it over time to half that speed. If u look at the old copies of the piece u will see that its the tempo he took it at or near it at least.

  • He is 11 . OH MY GOD !!!!!!

  • i'm a senior preparing to audition this piece for regionals and college applications, & this boy makes me feel terrible.

    lol.

fantastic playing, & the age factor is mind blowing.

  • lol same, he jsut undercuts all your self confidence

  • I have this piece for regionals, too. I'm a sophomore, though.

    Good luck. :)

  • Good Tempo!!! Nice to hear this played at the proper speed :)

  • q isso fera o mlq é cruel no clarinete

  • dude, sick!

  • very pretty :)

    amazing tone!

wow, especially for an 11 year old!

  • omg thats amazing!!!!!!! wow. only 11. im 14 and cant even do that and ive been playing for almost 5 years!!

  • uh well i feel bad for pianist but oh well

  • he has a very nice warm tone and thats good for only 11

  • Very good for 11...just tune yourself...the whole fingers thing doesnt impress me much ...(feel free to put the heads down thing)um but good

  • michael this is great i play the clarinet too.

I do think that this is a great peace but very difficult and technical !!

    GREAT!!!

  • I played this....i found the beginning one of the hardest parts of the pieces..controlling it and stuff..i know people have said this a lot but slow down...it's hard to hear the sound of each note when you go so fast, as well as being musical..otherwise, excellent

  • fingers must be put into the ass hole to have a sweet tone. So the tongue feel smothh. don`t forget baby! You`re to young, Practice ding dong bell. says Domingo Peron. Danke.

  • Is it me or is he flat for the entire first section?

  • no, your right he was flat.

  • decent tone but too fast of a tempo and he needs to take more time musically. he's a bit too young for this piece, he'll grow though and eventually I think he'll figure this out with proper instruction. also multiple squeaks and twitters throughout, work to make everything clean and smoothly. work on articulation too, you tongue too heavy, tongue lighter, not bad though for an eleven year I have to give props anyhow

  • He should play at the right tempo. Most of the notes are strait sisteenth notes that are 6th (three triplits)

  • tad too fast. work on tempo and position of clarinet. i just started tackling this piece about 2 weeks ago. other than that though, keep on playin well man!

  • Great playing! I hope you success in all of your performances.

  • Super, sons impressionnant. Tu te rend loin avec ton talent. Bravo !

  • It's okay to bring the clarinet closer to your body. Honest. My only gripes are the speed and the phrasing. The thing is, though, you've got the fingers. You just need to work on the musicality. The fact that we can be this picky about your playing at age 11 is saying something.
