Thanks for the tutorial; the exectution of these videos is awesome.
I have a question, though. You show a similar box in the still at the beginning of your video, but it includes colour on both corners and a stripe of white in between them. Unfortunately, you don't mention how to do this in your "variations" post or this one. Is there any way I could get instructions on how to achieve the same effect? Thanks!
@ChickenNoodo Thanks for the question. The directions for the box are in the end of the video. From 09:41 you should see the assembly for that color pattern. Sorry it is a little confusing. Thanks for watching!
@GoldenGirls20 You can really use any paper. Just make sure it is square and that all the sizes are the same for your project. I think that printer paper works really good because it is a little heavier than origami paper. Make good creases when you work and you should have a nice, sturdy box when you are finished. Best of luck! Thanks for watching!
@Littlebitty11 The paper size I used in the video is 15 x 15 cm. You can use any size as long as all papers are the same. Best of luck! Thanks for watching!
@ArmesForcesCorp Yes. The paper size is the same for the lid and the base. This particular style of box is a little flexible and that is why you can make these with the same size paper. Thanks for watching!
@misstan2011 I would suggest maybe putting just a bit of glue as you piece it together and that way things will stay put. Then as you practice more you won't need to use the glue. Thanks for watching and best of luck!
Excellent explanation but sometimes the camera does not capture the entire object after each fold. Other than that, I thought the instructions were very clear.
@tancala Since this box is made from only four pieces you don't want to make it too big. If you use thicker paper though you should be able to make it at least twice the size that I do and have it not fall apart. And if you want to ensure that things don't come apart you can always add a bit of glue as you piece things together. You can also cut a thick piece of paper to be the same size as the base of the box that you complete and set that in the bottom of the box to make it more sturdy.
Omg, I just really want to comment and say thank you soooo much! I've searched how to make other boxes, and they're nice but rather difficult to make. This is rather intermediate and very useful. ^^
That's nice! Say, where do you get the square pieces of paper? Before I've noticed only rectangular shaped sheets sold. Do you cut them yourself? Thx.
u sure do work fast
