its true .... i have 2006 accord i-cdti engine. its great car. the car spend only 8L on 100km at 200km-h speed. Speedmeter lays about 5 kmh at toop speed

my acccord goo on freeway 233 234 - and gps show 229kmh. With 140hp that is great job by honda. and my accord have 5.5 L gasoline (diesel) in city on open road 4.5 to 5L. That result is if you drive a car normal.

I did check my 06 Accord I-CTDI with a GPS, topspeed 228 and the speedometer told me 232, with stock engine and tyres.

Has any one noticed the temp on the outside. 0 degrees outside temp. maybe that helped?

The trick is that honda shows more kmph than the car is going. 220 kmph on the clock here is 209 real (checked with a police radar)

@Faktoreq that's wrong,i have a civic 1.6 vti ek4(in usa 1.6 si)and it just have 5 km of diference beetwen the speedo and the gps at 232km on speedo the gps shows 227Km...

It's the pre-facelift edition with only 5 gears. So its the 5th gear

i just bought a 2005 honda i-ctdi accord and it is very well made, very quick and very frugal. And its got all the toys. Best diesel on the road for its price and i said to my mates ITS ONE SEXY DIESEL lol

it cost me £9k more than than a jetta and a passat, but the new shape passat is a good motor but prices still very high for it

Can't wait to test drive one here in the U.S. Clean diesels are way over due in the U.S. We are about 15 years behind Europe burning gas in inefficient low compression engines. What a waste of resources. Go Honda and Toyota, show the big three... .

Well the Ultra low-sulfur diesel which is going to be much cleaner then the diesel we have now. Which should replace the old diesel completely by 2010.

I'm an happy ownwer of an Accord i-ctdi Nav. What a great machine!!! 50.000Km of pleasure with no problems at all!! Confort, very high speed, low diesel consomation and many bmw's behind me :)

Stupid EPA makes it so we can't have efficient diesel cars in the US. Oh well, had to by a HD truck with 6.6 Diesel 420HP 800LB torque (tuned)

I own a 05' accord tourer i-ctdi which is chiped up to 168bhp and 405Nm. Top speed 240km/h and fast accelaration. The new Passat 2.0TDI with 170bhp have no chance.

One of the best 4 cylinder diesels on the market: 251 lb/ft of torque and 50mpg+. Plus, its so refined that once warm it just sounds like a pleasant roar during acceleration

It is an Accord. Euro-R Same as US Acura TSX, but this car is Diesel Powered. Can't wait until Diesel comes to the US
