I have a CUSTOM MADE ICE CREAM truck and I've gone to GIBTOWN for the last 34 yrs. and we love it. We even have a home there now. The new Super Walmart is right up the street. GREAT PEOPLE GREAT TIMES.
I kinda wished I had lived back in the day when sideshows were real big... Sideshows I see now don't really contain the living... just maybe a cow here and there, but I love them (sideshows) all the same.
I am glad I caught up with you guys again. I loved your piece on Gibtown. I'm retiring soon and maybe I'll checkout some of the sites myself. Thanks again.
I've had the pleasure to work with some of the "human oddities" of the past. They were some of the finest and most gentle and generous people whom I have ever known.
It's a real shame that they have been relegated to "used to be".
Very true Scott. I had the pleasure of meeting several of the oldtime sideshow performers myself, like Melvin "The Human Blockhead" Burkhart and Otis the Frogboy (who had no arms or legs but had mastered amazing skills such as rolling cigarettes with just his lips). This was many years ago though, and these two gentlemen, like most of the other oldtimers, have since passed on.

I live a block away from Gibsonton. There are still lots of carnies here, but you only run into the sideshow folks once in a great while.

Why do you keep posted videos on youtube that you don't want people to see? I'll keep asking this question until I get an answer.
What kind of game are you guys playing? After listening to you on Coast to Coast last night I was planning on buying your book "Weird NJ..."
I realize now you are nothing but a couple of a-holes, and I just know that this comment is going to be censored.
But I don't care, as long as you read it...

Your just having browser issues, all the vids are still posted as are your comments.

The "X-Files" episode "Humbug", takes place in Gibsonton and is by FAR my own favorite X-Files ever.

Mark and Mark,
