It's Lee song and maybe he just wasn't into having profanity associated with a song that is the trademark of a very nice lady and very close friend of his.

Actually Lee Hazelwood had him delte the song starting 'round 1995, copies of KIMBABIG printed after that had no These Boots at all censored or otherwise. In 2002 when Dave and Dave remastered this album they pleaded to Lees record company (Lee was dead) to put the song back on, they agreed, but only with the censors.
