I've actually heard of something called mass pole fishing were the fihermen have like 10 or so poles of the boat and they dump bait and other food into the ocean and the food atttracts schools of fish the fishermen catch alot of the fish this way, but it's sustainable because the fishermen don't catch entire schools of fish, thus preserving rather than wiping out that select school. They catch what they need and alittle excess to sell. The fish also gain from this because of the food they get.
