It was a telephone interview over a bad connection from the U.S. to Africa and was conducted through an interpreter. She briefly misunderstood the question and answered "yes." Then when they asked again and she understood the question she answered "no." Yet birthers still cling to the lie that she said he was born in Kenya.

Bottom line. The president is an American, and I'll tell you why. We are the only country in the world that will make a baby born in our country to foreign parents an automatic Citizen. in other countries, if a baby is born where one or both of the parents are foreign, then the baby is the nationality of that foreign parent. Thus President Obama is a US Citizen.

There were not called loons or racists or birthers and Congress took action to make a determination. We are the only country in the world that will make a baby born in our country to foreign parents an automatic Citizen. in other countries, if a baby is born where one or both of the parents are foreign, then the baby is the nationality of that foreign parent. Back is up to who the original "birthers" were. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama were the first to challenge John McCain's eligibility. There were not called loons or racists or birthers and Congress took action to make a determination. So, if racism is involved at all, could it be that the double standard for response to the exact same question of eligibility was not acted upon because of Obama's color? Or is it still a growing issue because of the refusal to address it?
