Not nearly possible, but the only way to do so is to restore your iPod/iPhone/iPad to the earliest point in which you didn't jailbreak it during that point.

Yes it will work, and what I mean by unlock is: It has no passcode.

Don't do it with a LOCKED iPod/iPhone, forgot to change that.

By unlocking, I mean:

Press the Home button or the Sleep/Wake button, then drag the slider to turn your iPod off. So when you tap the screen or home button, it wont open.

Power off your iPod, and if that doesn't work, restore your iPod/iPhone/iPad to the previous back up session and repeat the steps.

Usually, it means someone put a passcode on it to prevent people from seeing their stuff. Of course if this person is selling it with a passcode that they don't know, it's probably stolen...

To unlock, all you should need to do is force restore and it should restore to factory settings...
