  • Omg I feel so sad for the dogs.... They are like: adopt me...please...

  • I love puppies but go and get a dog from your rescue centers out there, it will help one dog who faces the gas chamber.

  • :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

  • :( :( :( :( :(

  • .... I wonder if there is any food for them to eat otherwise it looks pretty clean

  • Me: awww...

     0:07

    Me: sweet dog...

  • did anyone else see a bird?

  • all I have to say is at least theyre not dying in puppy mills..it looks extremely clean..and they're given a chance in life..so think greater..stupid martains!

  • @HoTtNeSSChiCK They probably came from a puppy mill, to be honest.

  • oh wow.. thats so sad :(

    poor animals . . . .

  • If i ever went to a pet store in japan or china i think i'd break down and cry....

  • Well cared for. In 3 by 3 cages made from plastic

  • POOR THINGS... who agrees

  • This is sick and horrible... You know these animals have came from abusive and terrifying puppy mills.. shame on you

  • aww poor puppies

  • Why do people have to make it expensive for those wittle tiny puppies

  • @gigixxoo sometimes 150 yen cost like 5 dollars

  • @JenniferDarkness woah kewl sorry its just cuz im not good with jaan words

  • poor puppies!! :(

  • When they grow up or cause problems they are thrown away, like used things.

It's not resposibilty. The rules abut buying/selling pets should me much more restricted in Japan. When i think about dogs breeded in Germany, that are treated like living creatures, not like cute home accesory, Japan's situation really cries for vengeance.

  • That's true that the dogs are clean, feeded & so on. But:

    1) They are taken awaye from mothers way to early - they don't get time to socialize, that's why they are very difficult to train

    2) They have nobody to play with, no space, they are untouched - that's not how a heathy dog should be raised

    3) You can buy them like candies, without any proof that you are able to care for them. That's way very often teenage girl but them, jys because they are kawaii/cute -

  • And these pups probably got all washed out

  • 0:30 the poor puppy is so desperate to be free! :(

  • WHy put the dogs in glass... poor ventilation = repiratory problems.

  • (see post below) We can not comment on where the dogs came from, but we saw lots of delighted puppies being taken off by new delighted owners. It did not feel cruel, seedy or poorly managed. In fact it felt like the opposite. It is good to have provoked a discussion. If you have the chance to visit Japan, especially if you are from the West, you have to open your mind to a very different way of life and not rush too quickly to conclusions and judgements.

  • It has been interesting to see the comments posted over the last few years on our video. It is a shame that there are some worrying racial comments that have emerged. From what we saw, the dogs were very well looked after. There were many assistants who were diligently cleaning, feeding and caring for the dogs when we visited (3 or 4 times in the space of a week).

  • I SAW A RED LORI BIRD IN THIRE:)

  • This should be highly illegal. Not only are all those dogs from puppy mills, but they're in small tanks now, and most importantly, they encourage impulse buying/window shopping. People see it, like the look of it - and buy it there and then. Any animal should be researched before buying. The pet shop know this, but rely on the 'cute puppies' to make a sale.. what happens when they're adults and they don't get sold? Thrown onto the street or eaten probably..

  • japs eat cats and dogs, in taiwan they eat human babies and monkeys

  • @xanteigravy late reply, but you would need to buy it a pet passport, we

wanted a puppy from spain but couldnt because of this.

  • what kinda of dog was in naruto

  • Cruel!

  • 0:36 Baby Polar Bear! (I'm kidding, of course)

  • nice

  • if you've never worked in a pet shop don't judge! how the hell do you know where the pups come from?? only some pet stores use puppy mills not all of them. most pet stores look after their animals very well. cages get cleaned daily with vet grade disinfectant and animals are fed on high quality food. most pet stores looks after animals way better than some owners who go to work and leave their dog at home for 8 hours a day or leave their dog outside in heat and cold

  • @cheeekay 99.95 of puppies in pet store come from puppy mills and the others come from bad breeds because who would sell their puppies to a pet store. also who would buy a puppy they know nothing about....???

  • @cheeekay The majority of pet stores that sell puppies do. That's the only way they can keep their inventory always full. The only way to make a profit.

I've worked in a pet store for almost 5 years, so I am allowed to judge.

  • I've seen pups being treated worse actually. This is not as bad. The cages appear clean and the pups appear healthy. Do keep in mind that this is only a temporary situation for the animals and they will get taken to new loving homes.

  • It pisses me off to see people say that its "cruel" or "evil" do put them in cages because they are being treated just fine! They DO take them out and socialize them. Its not like they are being stuffed in a cardboard box and the people aren't feeding them! (they could use more room though)

  • @cclayrox You must be joking. Once put in here, the animals aren't taken out until they are being sold. Its' not worth a shop owners time to take out and social each puppy every day, and they won't let customers do it because if they get bitten they could get in trouble.

  • @charzarg thats totally not true!! i have been to soo many dog stores like these and they take them out and let people hold them, put them in pens with other dogs so they can run around. but f you want to believe that that is awful then be my guest. i personally think its a heck of a lot better than being in a puppy mill but thats just me

  • @cclayrox Even so, puppy mills is exactly where they come from. No responsible, reputable or proud breeder would sell there puppies to petshops, any breeder who takes pride in what they do make sure they're giving their animals to the very best homes. And even so, wouldn't you rather get your dog from a breeder, so you can see the parent(s) and litter mates? The chances are that the dogs are taken from their mothers/litters at a much earlier age so they're at the correct age for going into shops

  • they shouldnt have bird cages near the dogs it causes stress to both animals since there not the same species!

  • I think they should've gave the dogs more room the boxes are so small!

  • those pups most likely came from a puppy mill, sad to see...

NEVER buy dogs from shops. those pups should be socialized more, not in little boxes. so sad!! :'( tears!!

  • @Starshine1396 your right these are puppy mill dog for sure!

  • thats soo crule
