Well it's called a FanFiction for a reason. It doesn't follow the real series of books exactly. And in a way yes Renesmee is replacing Bella, since the fanfic centers around her.

Yes, Renesmee (nicknamed Nessie) is Bella and Edward's child. She's born in Breaking Dawn.

I have read all four Twilight books, and I know James died in the first book. But this is a fanfiction and I changed it a bit, I explain it for the most part in Part 5 of my fanfiction.

I've read some fics where Bella & one of the Cullens are siblings and ones alot stranger than James being alive. It will be explain better in the later chapters.
