  • That is so freakin siick!

  • Where did u get that guitar like that also how would u make it playable lol idk know how to put strings in

  • if the paint is enamel based, does it have to be finished with polyurethane instead of lacquer?

  • 0:59 noo, it makes me cry

  • Does it dry fast? Use any laquer at the end?

  • what temperature had the water?

  • Why don't you submerge the body first, then pull up through the swirl? If it's primed and the holes are sealed, it shouldn't waterlog the wood. It would only be under for a couple of minutes while you swirl the paint.

  • gorgeous swirl, you are talented

  • i love u man!!! thank u soo much for sharing ur methods on the swirling.com!!!!

  • OMG *__*

  • what r is marble magic? that's the brand of paint? and where do i get it?? thank u!

  • hello if my guitar this old that I have to strip paint?? and sanding? and if you have to do what I told you that painting and then paint it and what the eddies will please answer

  • @Th3Swirling sorry whats the name of the first black paint?

  • why type of paint was that?

  • the guitar needs to be out of ink to apply this process?

  • I wondered, won't the guitar waterlog while doing this?

  • Anyone know the song?

  • @BillabongWater I tried looking in the video details but for some reason it doesnt say, I just know it was one of the standard ones which youtube give you.

  • @BillabongWater its called "fucking awful", by Some Douche

  • @superfly there is no borax in the water....this is marble magic paint

  • Are you able to clear this method? or are there alternates to seal the paint? thanks

  • hey mate, just wondering if there's an alternative to using borax. because im not able to get borax here. could you suggest a solution for me.

    thanks,

    dom

  • i really want to swirl my 7 string...i would be scared to do it myself though.

  • Ok so paint it solid white, sand down the runs, extra paint etc., dip it in the paint & stuff, then sand the runs etc., then spray gloss on it, now I know everything.

  • Now I just gotta swirl one.

  • So... think its possible to make a psychedelic cammo out of this technique?

  • how much of this paint is needed?

  • after doing this could you still plug that guitar into an amp and play it?

  • @bigdio2 No never again.

  • @bigdio2 Yes, however the paint will slowly creep up the body and onto your arm turning you into a swirled human....

  • @Th3Swirling Is there any kind of clear coat you can use, so as to keep the paint on while playing? Thanks.

  • @Th3Swirling Did you add something (like borax) to the water or is it just pure water? Thanks for the info in advance.

  • oh my god....you live in the UK? do you run a business?

  • @ravenshield56 Kinda, I will be doing some to sell on ebay soon.

  • hey! loving your videos, and the website! I've just got one question, what primer do you use?

  • @SunnyObhi Any white matt primer

  • @Th3Swirling ah sweeet :) i should be doing my swirl guitar soon, after i do some tests, and i'll post it on your forum :D

  • thats fucking hot

  • @netosogo Cheers, its one of my favorites

  • @Th3Swirling can I do it? what do I need ?

  • That looks amazing man!

  • lol totally not the type of music for an rg550 swirl video XD

  • I wanna see the final guitars!

  • @PaulGilbert60sMind I have cleared it but have to wait for the weather to get better to do the final clear and polish. I have 5 other guitars waiting to get swirled aswell. Videos of those will be up once done

  • I have a small question,

since borax is used to remove surface tension, wouldnt dishwashing liquid have the same effect since it removes surface tension.

    thankyou

  • @darrylportelli There is no borax in the water, its just water straight from the tap. All other info is on the website

  • @tonygayter what section on the web site please, which method is this since it is not the borax method...what are these paints, I dont think theyre humbrol cos they dont flow like that.

thank you, you have some of the best home made swirls on the net!!!!

  • @darrylportelli Its in teh forum called carageenan swirling. I need to sort the site out really but I have 4 other sites, + android app development and other stuff to do also. should be able to do more soon though as the weather gets better and I start swirling again.

  • @darrylportelli I dont use the borax method here. Its just water and using Marble Magic paints. :D

  • @Th3Swirling have you tried the marabu easy marble?? because thats what I found loacally

  • @darrylportelli I found they rub off to easily. Marble magic are much better.

  • @thesoontobeguy As long as you prep it as outlined on teh website you will be fine.

  • @Th3Swirling thanks that has help alot but the last thing is do i need to take the pickups and hardware out of the guitar or could i just cover them up with tape when i do my dip or coulld that potentially ruin my guitar?

  • WOW that's awesome dude. I just wish that I had a white Jackson or an Ibanez to do that to. Great job dude.

  • That looks awesome man, I gotta try that sometime.

  • after you have done this can you still play the guitar, and will it sound the same as it did before, if i play it through my amp

  • Awesome job! I checked your website...can't find anything that says what the new paints for this fire swirl are.

  • @Praetorian27 Disregard...I found it!

  • @Praetorian27 lol glad to hear it :)
