Why don't you submerge the body first, then pull up through the swirl? If it's primed and the holes are sealed, it shouldn't waterlog the wood. It would only be under for a couple of minutes while you swirl the paint.

Ok so paint it solid white, sand down the runs, extra paint etc., dip it in the paint & stuff, then sand the runs etc., then spray gloss on it, now I know everything.

since borax is used to remove surface tension, wouldnt dishwashing liquid have the same effect since it removes surface tension.

@darrylportelli Its in teh forum called carageenan swirling. I need to sort the site out really but I have 4 other sites, + android app development and other stuff to do also. should be able to do more soon though as the weather gets better and I start swirling again.
