Can someone tell me how to hook up a feeder fishing rod? I have been fishing in lakes and river's seven times now and still haven't caught a fish!! It's getting dis-heartening and embarressing also. My reel and rod are good quality it's just i was never into fishing until my wife bought it for me. I am trying a couple more times and if i don't catch nothing i'm gonna give the rod and reel away. I usually put a weight on first (top) and then a hook a few inches lower is that right? Please help!!

great vid! Guys, when I fish, occaisionally I lift my pole up to re bait when the pole is heavy and a fish is on the end, i havnt even noticed and the float hasn't budged? Anyway, I always seem to lose the fish, mainly because it is not hooked on well, any advice. I can fish with the pole, so i don't think its me, or, it really could just be me!

thats a very big pole my biggest pole is only 8 mtr an its not very good, its ok for small tench but i wouldnt like to hook a carp on it

it is best if u do have ur pole elasticated u can fish whithout the elastic but it well snap the line if u get a fish over like 4 pounds

it did come wit a rig and it isnt elasticated mayb its not needed

Hey. You can use a pole without elastic but it is much more difficult and you wont be able to land bigger fish. Type in maver poles at the top of fthis page ang if u scroll down youll find a video on pole elastication. It will tel u all u need to know.

i actually went pole fishing for the first time and caught a roach and a 1 pound perch where people had thaught that perch didt excist so of overly happy going back there today

hi mate

carp dont pull back as hard against pole elastic as they do with a rod because there is less resistance, so by shipping back the pole steadily the elastic with control the fish for you, then when the fish is ready lift the pole and scoop the fish as it hits the surface, it takes practice but its just about taking your time and getting your tackle right.
