Nice beats and message. 3 million voters enrolled. 2 million votes. So disappointed. Say goodbye to assets, health system, welfare and early childhood education.
what people fail to understand is not all labour supporters are enrolled to vote and most of the useless cunts couldn't be ass'd going to a voting both to vote
@MemeSpreeNZ If New Zealanders had been so concerned about asset sales surely more would have got out there and voted for Labour? I don't know, just a thought.
@chrisw1702 There's lots of reasons not to cast a vote, and lots of reasons to not even enrol. Some of them are even good ones. But this time? Not so much.
Also, if all the TV, Newspapers, and Radio are telling you "John Key Is Going To Win LMFAO," why bother to turn up?
@misskimbobee probably made using archival footage, available for free from the auckland film archive its on k road around the corner from where you suck johns dick for blue notes
@westyboy1977 They're not the incumbents though and this election is really important as were so close to being sold out over the next 3 years to corporate interests.
This is fucken incredible footage. Sooo so glad you're writing about meaningful shit. It fucks me off all these peoplesaying theyre not gonna vote cos they dont wanna have anything to do with it or the people saying whatever happens it doesn't matter cos nz is still great - we have thousands of children living in poverty! Our government has turned our country into a police state! On what fkn planet is it ok to install cameras into peoples homes?! FUCK!!!!
love how there is so much hate on here for john key. don't forget it was 9 years of labour and a rescission that got us into this position.
and whats labours answer.. capital gains tax... its another tax to the poor that good investors will avoid by hiding there gains in trusts and overseas bank accounts. and yet again the poor will be paying the tax.
and selling our biggest assets? people are our biggest asset not companies.. sell companies and make better hospitals and schools.
@yamclam capital gains tax is avoidable if you know how the tax system works. there for if you are rich, have overseas bank accounts, have trusts (and all rich people have trusts) and things like that you can hide your capital gains and not get taxed.. its a less experienced momy/dady investors that will be taxed. tell me if you get a investment like a house do you know how to avoid capital gains tax?
also GST is a spenders tax. rich people spend more. they pay more GST.
I've pasted, repasted and plastered this link all over the show with lot's of good comments. It's on half a dozen Fb occupy sites around the world, OWS, Auckland and Dunedin included. Of all the Johnkey info I have received, it's by far the most damming. Well done.
I'm sick of the election already (actually about a month back). But it's been fantastic to see people putting the boot into the Nats. I hope people keep it up. Go the Occupiers.
"Listen to us"? What, a bunch of fucking morons that don't know their arse hole from their ear hole? What the fuck do you know about an economy? "fuck working in a factory line, you'd rather be a criminal"? Yeah, really good message ya halfwits. Get an education and you might just have a little money! Tell me, why should a CEO who's worked his arse off to climb the corporate ladder have to sacrifice his lifestyle to fund your ignorance?
@11beequeen The nation is corrupt? Well pardon me if I disagree with that statement. Firstly, you can't group an entire nations morals under one guy, regardless of position. Secondly it was said country that elected said person into power, so by your reasoning the country was corrupt before the election? Thirdly John Key wasn't a hypocrite...... he may have been a manipulative politician (but which ones aren't) He offered tax cuts but neglected to tell you the costs! Labour did and no one listen
@11beequeen For the record, you over zealous bitch, i don't support Nation or any of their policies. They are driving nz into a civil war and fast. But shit like this song are not going to help anyone's situation or cause.
@11beequeen Op, wrong again. I am from New Zealand and I live in Australia and as a New Zealand citizen residing in Australia I still have a right to vote in NZ parliamentary elections.
@MrSparkymanZ the song offers a commentary on the state of things it is not an instructional manual. your statement serves to highlight your own ignorance "Get an education and you might just have a little money!" exactly you might just have a little money and no power more over the global economy serves to equate all of our power into dollar figures most of which ends up in the hands of a few
@2nais Hmm, misinterpret my words then call me ignorant eh? Well let me rephrase it for you... Get an education and you will be more likely to have more money than you would have without one. Where did i suggest it was an instruction manual? "Listen to us" seems a bit more than a running commentary to me....
Power? power isn't what this hate filled pile of crap was about, as far as I'm concerned it is targeted at one guy and makes no reference to any solutions. How hard is it to complain?
@MrSparkymanZ "Get an education and you will be more likely to have more money than you would have without one."
You serious? Higher education will more likely leave you in massive debt to the government than anything else. The majority of university students do nothing with their degrees, or they go overseas. The other small bit get terrible paying jobs here. A very very small amount get a job worth going through the years of tertiary education and debt.
@dilated1990 Lol Left myself wide open to that one. "An education" does not necessarily mean uni and debt, but dropping out of school at sixteen to bum around and/or start a family before being financially stable and mature enough about the big wide world is costing the country more than student debt. ( i really hate general stereotyping like this, especially with out figures) but this is one of the things i was referring to, not just saying "all get uni degrees and the problem is solved"
@MrSparkymanZ maybe I misinterpreted your words and called you ignorant but is that not the same thing you did when you put in your two cents on this youtube video? sorry but when you offer up your criticisms in a public arena expect to get knocked. you might not be in nationals camp but that doesn't absolve you of any ignorance, it's okay though it is a human trait after all. Also I see alot of historical reference throughout the video you may have missed
@2nais As for the last part I don't really know what relevance this has to anything I said, I can only assume you are trying to pull me into another argument but I agree and it IS shitty. However songs like this will only exacerbate the situation and if you want riots then go ahead. Lastly, I'd like to add for the record that i do not support national or their primary policies (cant comment for most others as i have not researched) but I do not condone this sort of one sided blame game shit.
@MrSparkymanZ "However songs like this will only exacerbate the situation and if you want riots then go ahead."
Riots will only come about when people are convinced there is no other way. Protest will be 1st.We need more of these types of songs because government needs to be aware of who it is they should be there for. National, especially throughout their time in charge, showed little to no interest in trying to help the lower class. They tried to avoid the idea the income gap was a problem.
@dilated1990 Dead right couldn't agree more ( all of it apart from the more songs like this part) Agreed, music can be the way to bring something to attention and they don't even have to be unbiased either, but I personally found the song to be about hatred and personal attack rather than political education. In my opinion the 'top comments' show this is what is taken from it by others too, difference is they see it as positive, but what can ya do? ...express your own opinion, lol.
@MrSparkymanZ Not saying your wrong but having songs about politics is a good thing, whether they are misguided or not. Getting people interested in politics is probably the best thing we can do. Even though this song is a protest and very one sided, it is better to be there than not be there because half the population dont even follow politics until just before the election when they hear one party say they can get you more money.
@dilated1990 Once again I agree. That's exactly what National did last year, they said "tax cuts" and everyone......(everyone meaning majority in this case) said "which box do I tick" without listening to the costs.
But even now it seems ( from what I'm told ) National will still have the majority..... so that begs the question, is it a small few who are better off or a majority? ( don't take this wrong as I know full well what happens when the wage gap gets to big, its more of a joke question)
@MrSparkymanZ also im pretty sure homebrew is university educated but you cant do rapping 101 at any university i know of and it takes a fairly high level of intelligence to write raps that are meaningful whilst flowing well and being relevant. maybe it holds no relevance to you but im guessing you havent ever lived in housing new zealand flats or had to wait in a queue for winz food grants. as I see it compassion leads some people to stand up for others and that is never a bad thing
@2nais The video showed historical reference? lol yea, true but the lyrics didn't relate to this at all. Sorry man but as far as I'm concerned this song doesn't "stand up for others" It insinuates violence and blame while offering no solutions. They sing about what its like to be in these situations, which is fair, but come on even you can say its 100% keys fault?
@MrSparkymanZ akshully no not 100% purely. the blame is half on us for being so stupid or apathetic not voting these fake cunts out and then the other half is for PEOPLE JUST LIKE JOHN KEY who make their fortunes trading and speculating on money that originates out of magical thin air, because you just can't get rich doing the real jobs for $13 minimum wage. john key takes credit but we will be the people who rebuild christchurch and we will have to support the poor so fuck show ponies like him
New Zealand isn't a giant monopoly board. You don't sell your assets to get out of a rescission, because where will the money come from once they're all gone? We are one of the only countries in the entire world who don't have a capital gains tax in place. The money that would generate through that alone is incredible. National only benefit the wealthy.
Labour is a joke. We need to trade our way out of the recession, and through nationals policies which promote trade we can achieve it. Good song, but the people who wrote the lyrics are somewhat lacking in knowledge when it comes to the the economic interests of NZ and the people within it. You increase the wage and transfer payments over night, you dont think about the flow on effects such as inflation, which will lower our real wages overall and increase the price level of EVERYHTING!
I agree with you on not raising the minimum wage, but opening up our economy to free trade is not the way, we need to protect our industries through the recession and not allow large internationals to sweep through with their economies of scale. Look at what happened to Jamaica when they were forced to have free trade with America for an example, it's obviously a more extreme case as they are a much weaker economy than ours but it still shows the effects of free trade on a blown up scale.
@glowinginthedarkness fuck talking about WE need to trade this or that. THEY will trade assets that are supposed to be OURS but THEY will benefit mostly. WE get hardly a word in the decision and WE lose out in the future. YOU might support THEY're agenda but you are the WE whether YOU like it or not WE don't get shit from asset sales
To get Key out ya need to Party Vote Labour, Green, Mana or NZ First – if ya really have to! Any other party votes will ensure a National lead government, including a vote for the Maori Party sadly. Then we all got to vote strategically with our electoral votes – which means Te Tai Tokerau: Hone Harawira, Ohariu Belmont: Charles Chauvel, Auckland Central: Jacinda Ardern, Te Atatu: Phil Twyford, New Plymouth: Andrew Little, Waitakere: Carmel Sepuloni. (see Matt McCarten article NZH website).
@barefootcapegirl Nah they'll never do it. I am sure they're only playing this out to try and capture a few swing voters that don't fancy Labour. If they did it would be political suicide, much like what's happened with the Lib Dems in the UK. Their policies are just to diametrically opposed, it doesn't make sense to form a Green / Nat Govt as they'd never agree on a thing. To be safe though maybe party vote Labour or Mana, as the Greens already are polling high + we really need to get Key out!
@MissRackit I'm sure the Greens would much rather be with Labour, but if given a choice between Opposition and confidence+supply I think they will do a Maori Party and be allured by the baubles of office... the Maori Party has about as much in common with National as the Greens do. But I guess we will have to wait and see! Exciting...
I voted Mana. I like the Greens' economic policy but I am also conservative on moral issues. :)
dont waste your vote on a stupid choice, john key has potential to fuck nz up more than it already is but he seems to of headed us in the right direction
@sjhill87ish you realise that we're all immigrants to Aotearoa. How long have your ancestors been living in NZ? The only true people of this land is Tangata Whenua.
@65734731 Exactly my point mate. Unless a party stands for monetary reform(govt issued and controlled money supply) they are endorsing the biggest corporates, the private central banks!
We had to disable the comments on this video because some ignorant moron wants to get racist. We never intended on separating people through this song. Eminem117Nas 3 months ago
fuck john key
MrGhaz12345 3 months ago
Labour is a joke. We need to trade our way out of the recession, and through nationals policies which promote trade we can achieve it. Good song, but the people who wrote the lyrics are somewhat lacking in knowledge when it comes to the the economic interests of NZ and the people within it. You increase the wage and transfer payments over night, you dont think about the flow on effects such as inflation, which will lower our real wages overall and increase the price level of EVERYHTING!
glowinginthedarkness 3 months ago
@glowinginthedarkness ur comment is a joke and so is ur opinion idiot
MrGhaz12345 3 months ago
I agree with you on not raising the minimum wage, but opening up our economy to free trade is not the way, we need to protect our industries through the recession and not allow large internationals to sweep through with their economies of scale. Look at what happened to Jamaica when they were forced to have free trade with America for an example, it's obviously a more extreme case as they are a much weaker economy than ours but it still shows the effects of free trade on a blown up scale.
bob2693 3 months ago
@glowinginthedarkness What we need is heavier taxes on the rich and for the government to spend that money within the economy
bob2693 3 months ago

MissRackit 3 months ago
@MissRackit A vote for Green is increasingly looking like a vote for a National-led govt.
barefootcapegirl 3 months ago
@barefootcapegirl Nah they'll never do it. I am sure they're only playing this out to try and capture a few swing voters that don't fancy Labour. If they did it would be political suicide, much like what's happened with the Lib Dems in the UK. Their policies are just to diametrically opposed, it doesn't make sense to form a Green / Nat Govt as they'd never agree on a thing. To be safe though maybe party vote Labour or Mana, as the Greens already are polling high + we really need to get Key out!
MissRackit 3 months ago
@MissRackit I'm sure the Greens would much rather be with Labour, but if given a choice between Opposition and confidence+supply I think they will do a Maori Party and be allured by the baubles of office... the Maori Party has about as much in common with National as the Greens do. But I guess we will have to wait and see! Exciting...
I voted Mana. I like the Greens' economic policy but I am also conservative on moral issues. :)
