I've only used krakatoa for about a minute but how can you control the amount of particles without using millions of PF particles? And to use it with FumeFX, do you use PF particles to follow the FumeFX movement then Krakatoa on those?
@iSOBigD Yes, you need to use PF particles, i had something like 100000 particles and then i made 25 partitions of that particle system. Partitioning means it caches the particle animation multiple times with a different seed in the particle system, so in the end when you combine all of them it looks like there are a lot more particles.
@nVidia6000 Very nice, thanks. I'll have to play around with that because I haven't gotten past a few thousand krakatoa particles and it didn't look very impressive since they're pixel sized. :P
