This opening sequence reminds me of a movie I just saw, Films of Fury. The dynamics of all the moves they use are very reminiscent of kung fu and the masters you see in movies. The film did an awesome job showing the masters at their best. It was a great introduction into that style of fighting and how it functions in the film industry. @ISetYourFaceOnFire i am studing this scene in film studys, and yes in a way you are right, zack snyder has only used juxaposition between the violence and the soothing music of nat king cole. also there is some more with the badge and blood. personally i quite like this film, but zack is a popular director with all the 'simple' people, coz simple things please simple minds.

You know, if only a Director of a Batman movie would have Batman beating the #@*$ out of criminals like in this video, the Batman would be an even more interesting comic book character bad ass to watch in the movies, than he is now. I can't recall not ONE movie showing Batman's fighting skills as being very painful or very deadly to the criminal. Not even in the "Dark Knight". In one Graphic Novel he punches someone so hard they vomit.

I heard the 'opening fight scene' is the BEST!!!! But ya can't see it!! It's too dark and yes I know it is night time but it is a movie for cripes sakes! The dude should have turned the light on! So many films now days are filmed in the dark. You catch glimpse and pieces of the film as it moves along because it is always at night or in a dark warehouse. Easy to make a scene look spectacular WHEN YOU CAN'T SEE IT!
