You don't even have to go to the Highwaste to get a firefly. Take the ferry to the North Bank in the Estersands, travel to the north end of the zone, up the hill just before heading into the Highwaste, there's 2 slavens running around and you can just use Steal on them to get Firefly.

@kingOming Main Gauche is a dagger that gives you a lot of evasion which can be helpful when you equip it with a very good shield to get high evasion.

@zXHaruHaruXz Remember the point when Vaan and Penelo are looking for sunstones? You can farm Dustia with Penelo to get LP. She'll level up, naturally, but by the time she comes back later in the story, she'll be reset to Level 3 iirc.

you should equip magick glove, Mosphoran Highwaste ...... 3200 gil( or Serenity Lic.). that double break chance to land when at full hp. better would be indigo pendent or niho but it impossible at this stage

Why cant we just ride the chocobo until the Orange save crystal, so we can teleport back anytime we want, and mount the chocobo right next to the exit? and one last thing... Why did you chain wolves at the start? Thanks =P

Chaining the wolves at the start permits the player to get the highest chain possible. When you petrify afterwards the chain remains at the highest possible. In other words the Slaven drops a firefly at 3% chance on their first loot but at the highest chain the firefly's drop now is increased to 12% chance to drop. That's why I chained the wolves.

im having a hard time i chained the wolves to 25 then i didnt have money for the choco so i sold sum crap then i got on ran to where the slaves are i stoned one got some loot ]: at the time i was like "wow it works :D" then the things on the side hit me -dunno if that matters- then after the other slave killing fran about 2135352 times i finnaly stoned him hopped on mr.choco then waited 10987654321 .... Stone then nothing came out & i was like OMG WTF NOE ]: so idk wat to do

A firefly makes you get no exp when you kill sometyhing, so you can farm lp from them. I'm new to it to, but i did a NLB, Normal, and Perfect game.

You can always using the ancient sword if break isn't available. It has petrify element which you can get ancient sword in Leviathan. I don't really remember when break is available.

Well the trick in low level game is you need to hop on a chocobo so that no exp shows on screen. Other then that you can get firefly in stilshrine and then wear that to kill the slavens in mosophoran. But that wouldn't be the earliest possible. This way you can get a firefly right after killing Vossler before Jahara.

All beasts will give exp and you will recieve them if you dont wear a firefly. If you wear a firefly, this prevents on giving you the exp even if it shows on the screen.  Firefly prevents you from getting the exp.

Well at least try best to get arcturus gun. It helps alot until you get fomalhauts in Lhusu Mines. Chain cockatrice hunt and make sure you keep 1 alive. You can chain them that way.
