  • I'm in the same boat, man. Love all the Greats from Rhoads to Lynch but I don't play 'exactly' like them either, I play for Fun & my Enjoyment so Rock On, Brother!! & oh yeah..., that's an Ass Whippin' Guitar too!!!!!

  • @Dreamcatcher156 I'm pickin up what your puttin down - there's no way I could play exactly like them guys - love their music.. but I've learned how to play wrong for so long.. it takes too much effort to unlearn bad habits... h ahahahah... as long as it's fun,, it's still Rokken! :) Oh yeah, out of all my guitars, that GL200MT is the best playing, just a fun guitar and looks great too -- thanx for the comment(s)!!

  • awesome,i really enjoyed the pick slide on the solo (2:40) \m/

  • Nice job!

  • do you slow songs down to get the solo down?

  • @guillotinedeath no,, I just hit record on the track and go for it... sometimes it works,, sometimes it doesnt... ha hahahaha... Now, there is a feature in Audacity though that does let you do that - you can change pitch, tempo and all that -- Audactiy is what I'm using to jam along with backing tracks and recording

  • is that one of those lynch guitars thats like.. thousands of dollars?

  • @cdg282 theres a cheap bolt on neck version i saw at a guitar store for like 600 bux

  • Kick Ass!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Very awesome and love the guitar.

  • nice esp

  • I just saw lynch a couple days ago at this little club,he was so wasted but I got to hold his mr.scary guitar that was pretty cool...

  • Awesome play!

Who is the singer of this version of in my dreams? I think I've found the same version on other youtube video.

  • @OtakuEmpire - dont know.. whoever sings on the backing track I guess.. it's a pretty common/popular backing track down load - thanx for the comment!

  • what is the tab for the solor at 4:24 to end of solo? you do something pretty cool with you pick right after the tapping

  • @utubecenseorstruth - Oooh,, jeez I really dont know and dont use tab (I'm a "by ear" guy)... I had to re-watch to see what I did... it's a simple rake up with the pick to simulate speed and give the notes a bit of a slide up to them v.s. doing the multi note run that George does... I'm so not a soloing player (I'm a rhythm guy)... so I try to cover up my limitations with technique tricks... ha haha... gotta be honest... as much as I love George.. I cant play exactly like him... :)

  • sweet man. Lynch is my favorite. What kind of gear and settings are you using? also is this the good ltd lynch or the new cheap one. It sounds great when you play it if it is.

  • @utubecenseorstruth - Truth be told, the LTD GL200MT's are very capable. I swap'd out the ESP LH-150 pickup and put in a Duncan SH-12, other than that, the guitar is stock. I run thru a Line 6 Tone Port GX and use Gearbox amp modeling and mix and record in and with Audacity.

Thanx for the comment and I too am a big Lynch/old school Dokken fan

  • @bigpigdave1 I have never been into basswood but some swear by it. I might have to jam one of those. I have the ltd 500t from back in the day now its alder. also do you use audacity to take out guitar tracks? if do you just get backing tracks and then record your guitar part and mix it?

  • @utubecenseorstruth - basswood is actually a pretty good tone wood....

My Serpent is swamp ash and it's definately different tonally, not as "alive" as basswood, a bit darker - same thing with my Kramer Focus.. a bit darker of a tone using the same pickup at the bridge (Duncan SH12). I also like the one piece maple neck and board of the GL200MT, I think it's a great neck combo for the SH12, has a more meatier high mid and mid tone and clarity on the top end - especially thru my live rig's

  • @bigpigdave1 I prefer a maple neck and fretboard myself. My peavey tracer is made of poplar with a maple neck and board, my lynch purple tiger is alder with a maple neck and rosewood board and then i have an OLD ltd that is esensially an m-2 with a hum and slanted single coil that is ash. I notice all have a different sound. i use a digitech rp500 with a randall 30watt amp and a dod overdrive in front of the amp models. Good o know another lynch fan. he is the bst and never gets credit

  • @bigpigdave1 oh funny you mention it but i heard evh actually intisted the guitar peavey made for him be basswood. I guess reading ed roman online about how indians used to make rope out of basswood predjudiced me, but i hear lots of good gutiars have it

  • @utubecenseorstruth - I wouldnt fear basswood at all.. I've had several basswood bodied guitars (ESP) and they're nice and lively especially with high output ceramic humbuckers. HO Ceramics seem to work very well (that old Dimarzio hard rock) kinda tone. Ywngwie swears by basswood bodies and maple necks.

  • i love this song! Lynch ROCKS

  • Dang,,, I was hoping you'd say Big Pig rocks... but that's alright.... :)

    agree'd - George does rock!

  • Nice tone! Keep at it, you'll nail it...

  • Thanx!

  • That guitar looks fantastic, i love those colours. Good cover also!

  • Thanx! I'm loving the guitar - it's a fantastic value and well made instrument
