I've always been torn between (1) a desire for more govt power to control crime, get things fixed, etc. and (2) an intense dislike of ideologues using govt power to push nanny-state PC bs. I have to opt for #2. The founding fathers felt tyranny could NOT come from the individual, but only from bad govt. I guess because govt has the resources to really enforce tyranny. IMO too much centralized power inevitabley (!!!) gets abused, regardless of good intentions.

Even if Schwarzenegger did have the power of a dictator: he might technically be a Republican, however he does have several liberal streaks about him. He maybe categorized as a Republican, and much of his agenda is Republican, however he also is a liberal in much of his agendas. Case in point.
