So I was fighting this other kid when I was 9 years old at school. A gang of tough kids were around us cheering for the other guy who was winning. The odds were against me, but my brother, who was the only guy cheering for me yelled out "Grab his nuts". So I did. I won the fight. So I was fighting this other kid when I was 9 years old at school. A gang of tough kids were around us cheering for the other guy who was winning. The odds were against me, but my brother, who was the only guy cheering for me yelled out "Grab his nuts". So I did. I won the fight. The kid & I were mates after that & he even invited me to his McDonald's birthday party. I know that God gives evidence to those who believe because that is God's order. Anyone who believes, makes the first step in getting the evidence they want. Now, some people get evidence without seeking. This is achieved thru a person praying for a person. This is the only exception.

"No man on earth can comprehend his greatness" Well, you can't have it both ways, Either God is a transcendent being, which we can't understand at all, or God is a natural, finite being, which we surely can understand (even though most theists would call such a being "God").

@boywhoy88 Do you have any idea how cruel and flat untrue that statement is? A number of years ago, I found myself in the middle of a divorce. One evening I literally fell to my knees in prayer, I truly could not hold myself up, I felt the weight of the world on me. I had been a faithful Christian to that point. I forgave all of the unanswered prayer as my fault somehow but at that point when I needed him the most and received no answer. That is what I now offer in return.

@pumpstations God will not conform to any of our ways. We must humble ourselves and daily seek him and give up the stuff we like to seek him. Then and only then will we get answers from God. We must give up the things we like to get answers. This is how it is. It is a narrow road and many do not make it. God still wants you to seek him with all your mind. Keep seeking him. I do it daily and try to get answers daily. This is because I gave up a lot of the stuff I used to do

I have no interest in offering worship, tithes, offerings, time, or praise to anyone or anything that refuses to acknowledge true heartfelt prayer. If I acted this way toward my son. I would expect nothing less than contempt. If I had a puppy that I treated in this manner I would expect it to grow to an understanding that I did not care for it. That was in the Old Testament when they had to sacrifice to get to God. We don't have to do that now. Old Testament law set up the fulfillment of it through Christ. The only time you seem to cross-reference is when you state contradictions in it. Consider the context.

@Ridleysama Thank you for bringing that verse to my attention. However, I believe you are mistaken. The translation of the Hebrew word is more correctly associated with calamity/disaster than evil. Yes, God created disaster, that was a punishment for our sin, but he did not create evil. I would encourage you to Google "did God create evil" and go to the link by "God and Science"

The bible reflects the morality that was present in the days of its making. Things like abolishing slavery and equal rights for women is a very recent development in morality. The bible is instructs how to beat your slaves and where to get them and to place women below men.

Yes, God is unchanging, but that doesn't mean his laws are. But, society does not choose morals. If we are to "change" them from what they once were, there must be a good, logical, BIBLICAL reason on why we change them. You may not agree with me on the "changing morals" issue, but that is my opinion

I get my world view from society around me and what my parents have taught me... much like how you learned from your, what i assume to be, Christian parents.
I'm lucky to be born in a family who encouraged exploring all religion, but I like to think if i were born in a christian surrounding, i'd be smart enough to snap out of it.
On a side note, its really fascinating to me how strongly you believe in a god.

As for your statement about sexism- if treating genders differently is sexist, then we are all sexist. Is it sexist to find one gender attractive and the other not?
