I'm afraid not. Because it's only last one day so they can't export it from Japan. But you can make it by your own, just buy a pack of japanese rice and dried seaweed paper to wrap it up. Tuna mayo filling is also easy to make :D
That looked SO good. I have to travel like 30 minutes to get to an asian food store that sells things like this. I wish it was right up the road, I would go everyday! That looks yummi! ^_^
I'm dying to try one of those! I been planning to visit Japan either next summer or the summer after that (saving up money for it as well), and I've been hearing about those onigiri.
At 1st I was like, "Yikes! dont eat the paper!" but it turned out that the Paper was a Material to hold the rice roll, and eat it as well, I do admit it does look Tasty :P
don't think you'll find a US store selling it unless its one of those asian stores but i hav yet to find any of it in any of the store near by and the ones i know of
It's been so long since I had a onigiri, but I still think that the 7-eleven onigiri is one of the most brilliant innovations in history----you unwrap the onigiri and the nori is fresh and crispy as hell. 2-thumbs up to whoever came up with the idea. I miss the tuna and mayo onigiri!
hey kittykattykoo i tried onigiri and its good i live in nyc and its hard to find but i manage to find one place that sells them and there good i got beef kimchi and spicy tuna
That's right. And if it's left unsold, they will throw it away. But usually it'll be sold out, coz it's like a Snack for japanese people. And during the busy days, it's very convinient to eat them as lunch.
where did you buy it? It depends on the wraps, the rectangle-shaped one are usually wrapped in such a way that it's still crunchy when we open it. But the rounded one are usually not double-wrapped so the nori (seaweed) became damp from the rice. :D But both are tasty!

Does onigiri have lots of calories?
Soheki 2 years ago
It's just rice, with some crap in the centre, not too much either.
So depends on what type you get (the centre part), it's quite healthy.

No. Like 150 calories each.
