  • Молодцы ребята непотопляемый хит забацали!

  • @TheSirAndrey It says "well done guys, the song is unsinkable"- in Russian.

  • @KeithTheKing

All the glory went to the interpreter.

    =)

  • i love both songs, original by arrows and the joan cover they are both fantastic

  • @KostadinovAl I agree!

  • Winners love The Arrows, losers take them in the knee

  • @YtzikTV Now I know what Axl Rose was singing about in "Welcome to the jungle" - "N-n-n-n-n-na Knees knees knees" >>---> It all makes sense now.

  • original is ALWAYS better.

  • @therightcomment99 I agree. From for example "Proud Mary"(Creedence C.R.) to "It's All Over Now" (Bobby Womack), the originals have the spark to inspire great covers.

  • original is ALWAYS better.

  • @therightcomment99 - 1975 was a great year for rock music!

  • @therightcomment99 search up The baseballs Umbrella. You'll change that viewpoint.

  • I was disappointed of Joan Jett.

  • #I LOVE SAUSAGE ROLLS!#

  • @xXwhat1100Xx With rocky road ice cream for desert.

  • I always thought Joan Jett did this first

  • @friendofsgran No the Arrows wrote and recorded it in 1975. Joan Jett saw them do the song on their weekly TV series and bought their record. She covered it in 1981. It went to peak chart position # 1 in the USA, and went to # 4 in England (probably because people knew the Arrows song already in the UK)..

  • Alan Merrill just toured the UK in November 2011 and played this and a lot of other Arrows songs, a 22 song set. He also brought in the new year with "I love rock n roll" at a concert in New York City where he played for three hours from 9:30PM-12:30AM.

  • I love rock n roll and the Arrows !!!!!

  • @fabnekko- Wise choices.

  • Haha, that voice really doesn't suit his young face!

  • @johnmighty5 That did work against the band's credibility with the press. The singer Alan Merrill had a very strong bluesy voice, but he looked like a teen idol. It was confusing to critics. Alan Merrill went on to sing, write and record songs that were later covered by Wilson Pickett, Lou Rawls, Robert Cray, Buddy Guy, Sir Mack Rice, Don Covay and more hard core R&B blues men. What other 70s British teen idol can say that?

  • Upload 2006 ? HAHA But i watch this shit in 2012 !

    Best rock n roll Song

  • Just figured out they did the original and not Joan Jett. This version is good too o-o and they are super~ fit!

  • I like the crunch of this song. It's Gritty

  • digna de una alabanza

  • Holy crap, both versions are fucking awesome x)

  • This song is BEST!! Ilove Rock'n Roll

  • @TheWiktorGod Great song for the new year 2012! Happy new year!!!!

  • Holy shit this is awesome! First time for me to see this original. JJ did very good, but this is almost better

  • love this song. joan jett's version is good, but this original version is better! long live rock 'n roll...

  • @thetman102771 Everybody likes different versions of the song, but the Arrows created it, wrote it, did the first released version, giving it a personal touch none of the covers can ever have.

  • I knew about this song before Joan Jett & The Black Hearts remastered it. ;) <3Arrows

  • I've heard Britney but then i got some Arrows into my ears!!! :P

  • awesomee

  • »»───(knee)───►

  • @Theodoroz - Clever, you get past the censors! Well done!

  • @Theodoroz LMAO

  • Arrows confirmed for best version.

  • I LOVE ROCK AND ROLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It is such a wonderful classic song that they wrote.

  • Fuck Britney, this is great.

  • @segygirl I'm glad you like it, and yeah! Britney is very attractive and that thought has crossed my mind.

  • @segygirl god what a nasty thought you must need to see a trick cycalist if you want to do that to that.

  • @englishsandy Just kidding! LOL

  • Seems lke one of top 100 songs sung ever. Dunno if there exists any such rating.

  • super

You say Owl City, I say Bon Jovi

You say Jonas Brothers, I say Queen

You say Taylor Swift, I say AC/DC

You say Justin Bieber, I say Fuck You

95% of teens these days listen to the same formulaic, crappy pop over and over again. If you're one of the 5% who still listens to real music, thumb this up, then copy and paste it to at least five videos. Don't let the spirit of rock and roll die!

  • @Vujabre old !

  • Arrows singer Alan Merrill performed this song in the UK about three month ago in London. YouTube search "Alan Merrill UK I Love Rock N Roll 2011". It's very cool.

  • That's hot

  • Very good

  • Wow, I never knew this, I always thought Joan Jett was the original artist! Thanks for posting this for us, the Arrows are pretty cool :)

  • @ntoulapoforos Yes. Low resolution from an old VHS tape, sorry. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

  • imagine j.bieber coverin this song... O_o i'd soak my self in de toilet

  • My friend thought Pink! was the original singer of this song. Boy did I school her in music history.

  • @smarty2016 Actually, Pink would do a great cover of this song. It would suit her very well.

  • @KeithTheKing Very True, but I think these guys are the best at it though. Now I want to see PINK! sing it.

  • @KeithTheKing She has something better than Britney in my opinion. She is not fake and she has some balls. But nothing except the original has surpassed Joan Jett...

  • @smarty2016 a friend thought Pink Floyd was P!nk.

  • love old-school

  • love to old-school

  • Arrows rock I'm just 19 but I love there music

  • Aww I just love the part from 0:00 to 2:51 *_*

  • wow

  • ummmmmmm who REALLY owns this song cause there is alot of people made a copy of this song

  • @brianlol12345 The publishing is owned by London based RAK Music Ltd., the Arrows music publisher. The songwriting share is owned by Arrows band members Alan Merrill and Jake Hooker. Everybody else is covering this Arrows original song from 1975.

  • @brianlol12345 the arrows and what can you say it rocks

  • @brianlol12345 the arrows and what can you say it rocks.

  • Hmmm.... I never boring! :)

  • I'am 12 age old, but I love 60's 70's 80's songs!!!

  • @Mirconia 14 here, love those songs too!!!!

  • britney spears doesn't even love rock'n'roll so what do you expect? XD

  • @TheJayman213 She's does everything sexy, including this song. Maybe not a "tough" rocker, but she sure got the boys off at her peak, and thousands of girls wanted to be her. She's done just fine.

  • You say Bruno Mars, I say Guns'n Roses

You say Hannah Montana, I say Arrows

You say Owl City, I say Bon Jovi

You say Jonas Brothers, I say Queen

You say Taylor Swift, I say AC/DC

  • @MrAertt5 Isn't it just a little bit ironic that you're complaining about formulaic stuff by posting the same (frankly pretty boring) comment over and over and over again?

  • @Loganberrybunny Astute observation!

  • ARROWS RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You have love 80s music and 70s they are the best song in the world lol.

  • @Bungieloving Yeh, 60s and 70s, the best.

  • i prefer the vocals of Alan merril than joan jett....

  • Your actually right...I didn't know that! I wasn't a huge fan of the buster poindexter era of David johansons career. Nor am i a fan of calypso music. I always thought it to be hokey and cheesy.

  • I <3 <3 <3 <3 ROCK AND ROLLL!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Renault commercial...

  • Kult ! :D

  • The Arrows are a super versatile group. They cover the whole rock, r&b pop and blues sepctrum musically. To hear the real soul of the band check out the Tawny Tracks album. Though it's a roughly recorded collection of demoed songs that's what the Arrows were really all about.

  • @sooziwoozi Right, they covered a lot of ground musically, especially when Terry Taylor joined the band.

  • The Arrows were the first. They created this song. Everybody else is covering their work.

  • Joan Jetts version has a lot more attitude in the performance of it but the arrows deserve a lot of credit for writing such a great timeless hit. Unfortunately they don't get that credit at all, they had the potential to make it big but it never happened because of terrible promotion.

  • @Niall675 The Arrows version was a pre-punk 1975 power pop recording and Jett's version was post-punk eighties post-Sex Pistols era release. I think if Arrows producer Mickie Most had produced Joan Jett she would have been a lot more polite in her performance too! Mr. Most liked clean pop production and that approach got him lots of hits. Perhaps this Arrows song wasn't to his taste at the time, leading to no promotion of the Arrows version. It's all ancient history now.

  • @Niall675 I notice by your profile and views that you're a big Joan Jett fan. I thought so when I saw your post. That's why you used capital letters for Joan Jett and a small a for A(a)rrows (funny!). Actually, The Arrows are gaining traction in the media and getting more credit now in general. Read the book "Bad Reputation" about Joan Jett and you'll see the Arrows are all over that book. The times they are a-changing.

  • Guitarist+Les Paul=BEAST

  • OMG they all look like triplets!!!

  • @rosy2lee2 At first glance, like the Beatles, they all do look very alike.

  • Pure orgasmic...

  • ajjajaja Brithey puffff q mentira definitivamente la gente q no respeta la MUSICA dice estupideces !

  • Britney version way better and sexier :)

  • @BritneyNarutoFan britneys version may be sexier, but the actual singing and stuff are worse. I prefer Joan's version though: Joan > Arrows > Britney

  • C0:00L :o

  • @d3lt4X So cool you've set it to play again and again with your 000000s !!

  • I LOOOOVE THIS SONG!

SO PUT ANOTHER TIME THE VIDEOCLIP BABY!

    I LOOOOVE THIS SONG!

SO PRESS THE REPLAY BUTTON, DO IT FOR ME!

  • The reason originals are seen to be so good is that, if the writer thinks their song can sell, they make it appealing to other artists, in the hope that they'll cover it and so the original will gain them popularity, publicity and depending on the writer...money!

  • @HannahGrahamOfficial The Arrows wrote this song for the Arrows. The band already had hit singles in England and were hoping for another one with this song, their fourth single release, out in 1975. Of course they hoped it would sell, for them. But their label didn't promote it. A single, no matter how good, couldn't be a hit in the UK without promotion in '75. Still, I'm sure any songwriter is happy when their song is covered successfully years after the first release and makes them money.

  • @KeithTheKing I know, my comment was meant to be a response to someone else, but they seemed to have removed their comment...and I obviously forgot to click 'Reply'

    I'm a big fan of The Arrows myself...and 1970s music...even if I wasn't born until '96 :)

  • @HannahGrahamOfficial it happens, people remove comments disrupting the thread and throwing the conversation into chaos and dissonance. Never mind!!!

  • @KeithTheKing haha yeah, i didn't mean to somehow offend anyone or cause trouble or anything

  • @HannahGrahamOfficial No, not at all. You're very focused and make perfect sense. No need to apologize : )

  • I love the Arrows!

  • @1Sharpobject Many like minded people here!

  • what can i say, britney spears' SUCKS, joan joetts was good, but the arrows rule :D

  • @Srinathor The Arrows are pleased with all covers, I'm sure!!!

  • 240P.

    Hell yeah.

    I love rock n roll!

  • Like!

    I love rock n roll!

  • Originals are always the best :) Joan Jetts is pretty close though

  • @DarkRockRoll There are a lot of great covers of this Arrows song! Billy Corgan of th Smashing Pumpkins does a great version. It's on youtube.

  • 100% Real Stone

  • The whole world loves Rock N' Roll, 143 people and Daron Malakian didn't.

  • @TheShellhunter It's irrelevant if some people don't like it. It's not important. This Arrows song has made a lot of people happy, as covered by a lot of different artists. That's all that matters.

  • holy shit im gonna cut me veins britney spears and other bitchies cover This song... WHY bitchies ? WHY ?

  • @enkelito1 Because it's a great song, everybody has a go.

  • My question is if Joan Jett paid royalties to these guys or what? Joan Jett is not a version but a total carbon copy!

  • @JohnLennon100.... Yes, Joan Jett, Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, Alvin Stardust, melnie C., and more, all the artists who have covered this Arrows song pay the Arrows and their publisher in the UK.

  • @KeithTheKing The ALL IS GOOD!

  • The perfect song to start a Friday

  • AAAAAAAA LOOOVEEE ROCK'N'ROLL!!!!!

  • Hate how all you'll ever hear in the states is the Joan Jett version, what a hack :p

  • @70sbyrdjah Joan Jett's version rocks, but I agree the USA have unfairly snubbed the Arrows on radio and in the press.

  • @KeithTheKing not true, the largest classic rock station in the USA is named the arrow.

  • @Jakob9654 Radio station or not, the artist Arrow is the guy who did "Hot, Hot, Hot" in the eighties and is no relation to The Arrows who created the original 1975 "I Love Rock N Roll". - It's all so confusing. But seriously. America (the country, not the band) has ignored the UK seventies band the Arrows in the mainstream corporate rock press.

  • @KeithTheKing the guy who did hot hot hot was the singer from the new york dolls haha

  • This version is on The Arrows album Tawny Tracks.

  • @mistyntwisty Yes it is!!!

  • i love this song!!!!!!!

  • @brunmarsfan123 Me too!!

  • First time I haz ever heard this version.... Wow.... usually older songs lack quality or something. But this song really rocks! It's the best version I have ever heard. Going on my playlist and that means something.....

  • When I saw their outfit- nostalgia. And I wasn't even born then :D

  • Nice hairstyles ;)

  • @IceToadIceToad A style that worked for the Rolling Stones, The Kinks and The Beatles.

  • The original is the best.....

  • @lowdown1976 Arrows 1975!!

  • 240p we meet again... ب_ب

  • @misbooon Hahahaha, don't you hate that. :P

As for the video, never heard the original version before. Glad I looked it up; it's the best. Putting it on my playlist. ^.^

  • I love rock n' roll, but thanks to the 80's, I like more synth pop :D

  • @goldbullet50 A flock of Arrows? LOL

  • Are they still alive

  • @TylerArnold101 Yes and no. Two are alive, guitarist Jake Hooker and lead singer Alan Merrill. Drummer Paul Varley passed away in the summer of 2008.

  • These guys are awsome!!!... joans amazing... but this is AWSOME.

  • Zajebiste kurwa :D inaczej tego określić nie można :D

  • i really love rock and roll
