• Why couldn't I be from the UK or Ireland :((((((((

  • Ugh! The American Being human's is not very good, Aidan McCollin, the new vampire, is really ugly! Twilight is taking over the vampires. but Josh, is adorable. :)

  • @waffles4fun Samuel Witwer is not ugly at ALL. Don't be a jackass.

  • @freakishlypeculiar Have you seen those lips and jaw of his? He totally is fugly. It looks like he puckers out his lips at every scene and has lipstick on. He looks menacing in all the wrong places and the pasty white make-up that is all so similar to Twilight's vamps doesn't help. He doesn't pull of the monster the character is supposed to be when he gives in to his urges and the sweet side of him he shows to his friends in their house.

  • @freakishlypeculiar EWW. He doesn't appeal to me at all. Least they could have is gotten someone like Damon Salvatore...

  • @Jhrama it doesn't matter how you feel about him. The point is that he isn't an ugly human being. Damon Salvatore is obviously apart of a different show... so..

  • I wonder what their reaction was to the american being human?

  • @JaneWonderfallss Justin beiber is Canadian.

  • finally, we can see Nina in another costume!!!!

  • Thanks Russell for doing this for us - two great clips on youtube 'Russell Tovey TfL'

  • The American version was crappy & I'm American. I'm ready for the BBC Season 4!! Boohoo...though, it's sans-Mitchell... :-*(((

  • I'm an American and think it's a shame they made that crappy new version of this magnificent show. I'm not even into Brit show are better than American or vice versa, but this show is amazing and the remake is total crap. Should have just left well enough alone. I just hope the BBC keeps making more series of it.

  • 0:35 'coz there's a contract' :') hilarious

  • @tdgaf11 You can watch the British Being Human on BBC america.

  • @tdgaf11 Just torrent it

  • Aidan's eyes are amazing

  • I don't mind the US version.

    It's the same but different....

The only thing I don't really like about it is that they have changed the Vampire Rules which are followed in the UK version. I like the fact that Vampires cann't be seen with anything that uses Silver to reflect a image.

  • Great show!!

That's what british tv's about! Quality! The americans always stealing our shows and remaking them into shit. First shameless then being human then Skins and now the inbetweeners

  • @queenzakiya91 OH!! Those Americans!!! Wait!! I am one! Get over it, silly Brit! Most of us are part british, Irish or Scottish. We're your distant relatives, twit!!

I'd like to see you go through life without any thing american!!! Good Luck! I don't think you'd be near as happy. Do you like cars? Airplanes?

If we didn't rip off other cultures, where would we be?? JK. Enough Xenophobia. Especially from the UK. Very misplaced.

  • @Mocknbird2 To be fair, all the OP said that was Americans nick British shows. That is true. It's hardly xenophobia. It's sort of like saying Scotland has a high percentage of ginger haired people compared to other places. Not xenophobic, just a statement of fact. Remakes generally suck IMO, no matter who does them. The original point of whatever was remade is usually just totally lost in translation.

  • Remember whne they tried to do this with Red Dwarf? EPIC FAIL!

  • The American version is rubbish. This Canadian girl is feeling a sense of commonwealth allegiance.

  • Thanks for clumping "the Americans" in one group... I'm an American and prefer BBC's Being Human too! Ass

  • "Blog" XD <3

  • GAH love them!!! :)

  • Aidan Turner is freaking GEORGOUS!! better than any stupid american vampire in my opinion ;]

  • AIden <3 even sexier without the vampire greasy hair haha

  • I am American (Native American Indian actually);hwr, I MUCH MORE PREFER the Brit version. Some in the state's snipe about my allegiance, if you will to the Brit/Original Being Human but that's ok; I STILL like it better. I attempted to sit thru the US version & it was like nails on a chalkboard. There's no chemistry, no Aiden, Lenora, (can't recall their real names but) or George or Nina & it's taken time to adjust to Nina (Brit ver) but even now, I can't see the show w/o her.Bring on new epis!

  • love you all...luv the british version....I am someone who does not get into tv shows. i started watching it "on demand" and got hooked. this show is so great!!!

  • just want to point out how hot Lenora is...in case you did not notice....lol

  • Comment removed

  • @JaneWonderfallss I'll apologize for Bieber... he's a bloody Canadian...though he was funny on SNL's "Church Chat" with Dana Carvey.... might as well apologize for Celine Dion while I'm at it.... I sent the network here an email of complaint saying, "What do you want next...a Canadian version of Doctor Who so I can 'relate'? Daleks with hockey sticks instead of plungers, a poutine eating Doctor Who who says 'eh', and wears a Tuque all the time?" Can't wait for that one... Cheers!!

  • And what is the name of this song ?? pleaaase!!

  • @Ptitelili2a im not alone calvin harris XOXO

  • @Ptitelili2a calvin harris - i'm not alone

  • This version is SO MUCH BETTER than the american version

  • OMFG. i'm from the US and i just started watching the US version cause of mark pellegrino and i was like oh hey i should check out the original..

MITCHELL. damn. he's like something out of my fantasies lol. what a sexpot. <3

  • @snowkid919 wish I could thumbs up this one million times... he is handsome, and all of the actors can really act. Their characters become endearing to you. They get you hooked on the show.

  • @PrettyCharla haha yea exactly.. I'm really hooked on the U.S. version too. the story is really interesting!

  • mitchell is soooooooooo hot

  • I love annie in the british series, i dont know lenora is just much better than the american one, in my opinion maybe ill change my mind through the SyFy series.

  • Yes the BBC ver ius better. I like the accents

  • BEING HUMAN SEASON 3RETURNS TO BBC AMERICAN Supernatural Saturday, February 19th @9/8c

  • lolhaha promoting the blog by using the actors, very un-directly LOL

    (all sarcasim was intended)

  • Why make another version, what is the point, it will be the same thing but with different people and an american accent.

just watch the English version.....it seem the americans can't accept that us brits have made a better show than them, so they are going to make their own version and try to make it better.

which is impossibe as nothin is better than BH!

  • @maryloopylouise Im a latina living in Jersey, and believe me....I have lost all respect for Americans, brittains ruuuuleeee all the way...Im sooo hooked with Merlin and now with being humans... :) cant stand the twilight series NOOOO originality at all in this country anymore...ughhhhh!!!!!

  • @clajutola omg yeah, i know what you mean, i love merlin, can't wait until next series

  • fuckn bullshit. i want a slanty is

  • so blame canada/america. even if this one is too small scale for the international market

  • Tonight the US version is supposed to premiere, but I just want to see the third season of the UK original already... Sucks that we have to wait several more months until we can see it. :( NO FAIR!!!

  • @PalakikaK isn't it going to be weird having both the brithish and american series on tv? It would get confusing

  • @maryloopylouise Sorry it took me so long to respond. I did try to get into the American version, but it just didn't stick. So, I went back to watching the British version when it started up again.

  • a yank version? sure enough it has to appear an american show featuring americans, in US english so they can understand it. or accept it, rather. just be grateful they've not nabbed the actors too n put an accent on em. still, everybody in the world will adopt this latest 'american' tv sensation and the US version effectively be will be a world series. welcome to america > the world. dictator > sheeple.. hardly a revelation

  • @JOHNxEIRE dude chill. im american and im as pissed off as you about theyre being an american version. but that doesnt mean that ours is going to be more famous.

  • @JOHNxEIRE Hey I'm American, be nice and quit stereo typing. First of all: it's being produced by a CANADIAN entertainment company and shot in CANADA.

second: it's premiering on SyFy, the channel best known for having a crappy budget on their "original" movies. And third: All this series will do is advertise the UK version because, contrary to what you seem to believe, American girls LOVE accents and Mitchell is adorable <3. and very unlike his American counterpart

  • @JOHNxEIRE dude chill. im american and im as pissed off as you about there being an american version. but that doesnt mean that ours is going to be more famous.

  • @JOHNxEIRE

    correction: canadian/american version

  • GAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!! i HATE the fact that theyre making an american version. america cant make anything of their own television-wise. they took skins, the office, and now THIS?!?

  • Three cheers for the British Version of "Being Human"...that is the show I have allegiance too... the Americans can go bugger off!

  • @DaseinFly LOL! Hey? should I take offense to that? LOL... nah ITA. only beggars can't be choosers and we did get the american version of Being Human before BBC America decided to share...so...THREE CHEERS for copy-cat americans with no sense of originality and all the shame of not giving credit where credit is due. LOL. It's the American way. And 3 cheers for BBC for showing us how it's REALLY DONE when it's ORIGINAL AND DONE RIGHT!

  • @CRYST2SHELL Yeh, I'm pretty protective of British programmes.... Inspector Morse, Black Adder, Allo Allo, Keeping up Appearances, Doctor Who, Brideshead Revisited, and on and on....they are just so damn good....I'd also feel the same if...say, the Brits tried to Copy Cat "The Big Bang Theory"... Its American, its funny, don't mess with it...or Texas!

  • @CRYST2SHELL Sounds like somebody has serious issues!! You're damn lucky we love the U.K. Just ask the rest of the world. Don't forget, all but a very small percentage of us have heritage that leads outside the U.S. More than half of us have european ancestry, and a large portion of that is from the U.K> Wake up!! WE ARE you're long lost relatives. Like it or not!!

  • @Mocknbird2 I'm American. Black American at that. you know descendant of african slaves mixed with genetically eurocentric caucasian ancestery with possibly a hint of native american lol.

Preaching to the choir my friend. Preaching to the choir.

  • @DaseinFly What the HELL did we ever do to you people in the U.K.?? Besides tell King George to stuff it??? Most of us are decended from English, Scottish and/or Irish people!! (or at least we were until the past couple decades) SO, you're insulting possible relatives.......and you're only a 12 hour flight away..........so watch it, PAL!! (just teasing)

  • @Mocknbird2 I'm even closer than that....being Canadian (pun intended)... the British are still here!! ha ha!

  • @DaseinFly Oh yeah! I forgot to mention..........the "U.S." version of BH is made in Canada!!! Isn't canada still a british territory??? You're monarchs are on there money.....WHat up???

  • I <3 Being Human, its one my favourite shows of all time;D I m glad i dont live in America or id have to watch another version. I feel so sorry for all the guys on here who cant just watch it telly.xx

  • BBC deos it again with a smashin good show , if only stop being humanly lazy with the same story and different actors. two guys ones a confused vampire the other a new addition to the canine family and a splash of diversity with a ghost between worlds. come on BBC try again

  • "They Can't Recast Now, Coz They'res a Contract" LOL

  • I luv how their really badly hinting to go to the blog lmao

  • I totally love this show; and I agree, the thought of an American version of this fills me with horror. They may as well just do an American Doctor Who and ruin that as well.

  • aiden <33333 "blog" lmao

  • Every British Channel that is good seems to be remade to an american one :/

  • Non vedo l'ora!!!

  • I really hate that they're making an american version of Being Human. What's wrong with showing a British show in the States?

The only positive thing I can say about it is that Mark Pellegrino will be in it. JEEEEEEEEEEEEJ!!!!

    XxX

  • @mollysnollybollyke not to worry, the American version won't be as good cos Aiden T, Lenora and Tovey won't be in it so it'll be shyte xxx

  • @75goodies sooo true, I mean they might have their fans or whatever, but I only knew about the bbc version because of the usbh, but onl watched the first two episodes didnt like the cast as I like the brittish one, dont know what it is with the bbc series, but I am so hooked with Merlin and now with being humans...cant let gooooo....I live in the usa but wont miss the bbc series, is a shame is not that many episodes tho....

  • @mollysnollybollyke Never knew there was a British version until I saw the American version. I"m hooked and trying to find the British version now.

  • @mollysnollybollyke at first I thought so, too. But the American version has good actors in it (I've been a huge fan of Sam Witwer for years) and it's really quite different from the British one. It's more like an extension pack and they've said so themselves

  • @OxfordForLife

Yeah, my first comment was kinda made in the heat of the moment. I'm sure networks have good reasons for making a US version.

Since I have to give a 15 minute talk for English, I'm gonna compare the UK and the US Being Human. So I'm going to have to start watching the US version. I'm still convinced it won't be AS good, but I might still like it. Since Mark Pellegrino - who I'm currently obsessing over - is in it, I'm sure I won't loathe it.

    XxX

  • @OxfordForLife me too! see, there's room in the world for both. I'm 100% die-hard for both shows. Only I find myself fiending for new eps of the UK show.

  • @CRYST2SHELL don' read on if you haven't seen the seasin finale of the UK show yet!!!! I think now it's even better that there are two shows because a) the season ended and we have to wait till 2010 for the next season and b) mitchell's dead on the UK show, but still "alive" on the American version so we still get to see the character even if its not the same actor

  • @OxfordForLife Unfortunately, Aidan Turner is what makes that character so great!!

  • @mollysnollybollyke well on the good side more ppl will start watching the British one after they see how good it is

  • @mollysnollybollyke i know!! i refuse to believe that there is an american one. the worst part is in the ads they say "new original syfy series" which is a lie!!

  • @mollysnollybollyke

Well, since you apparently don't know........they are showing UK version of Being Human here in the U.S. on BBC america. AND WE LOVE IT!!!!!!! I don't like the U.S. version near as much. And NO ONE Is better looking or sexier than Aidan Turner....No one!!

  • @Mocknbird2

Yeah, I had heard about that. It only makes it even weirder to make a new version, when they're still showing the 'old' one. They could have waited a few years, or just not make it :D

  • @mollysnollybollyke already seen the first season of the american version and just recently watched the first two episodes. Of the british season one and I actually perfer the american show nothing against Aidan Turner but I perfer Sam Witwer's version. The american show fleshes out the characters more in the first season. I mean Season 1 alone takes up the entire episode count of the BBC's S1 & S2.

  • making an american version because some americans may not get the british thing is like not hiring aidan cause he's irish and we may not understand him :|

  • Cool!

  • Aidan just smoulders!!!!

  • cuuuuuute!!

  • 0:58

    aidan "blog" LOL SO SERIOUS.

  • I wanna see some mitchell/annie pairing in season 3! i've been waiting since like episode TWO haha!! I LOVE this show :)

  • i love being human and i can't wait!!

totally random: Lenora Crichlow and Russell Tovey have both been on doctor who...Aidan Turner needs to be in series 6...

  • @sheenasasheenasa Sinead [who plays Nina] was in Doctor Who, too...and the guy who played Kemp was in The Sarah-Jane Adventures [DW spinoff]

  • @StoliDassah I know :-D she was the schimmer alien, the cactus...hehe

  • @sheenasasheenasa Yeah...One of the Vinvocci. lol

  • Love this show, they are making an American version? haven't heard that, don't know how it will work, what i like best about the show is it's essential Britishness , i know it's not a real word!

  • @Bcburgess Yeah, they're filming it in Montreal, I think. And funny trivia, the American versions Mitchell character is named Aidan...seems like a tribute there, to me.

  • I'm seriously pissed off that American TV is going to take yet another British show and fuck it up. We don't take their shows and turn them British (I think), although we should because their TV is seriously shite....... But saying all that, at least they have Sam Witwer lined up to play Aidan's part and he is bloody gorgeous so America, I forgive you.

  • @ZoeClash I think Coupling was meant to be a British Friends but it's not really the same at all. Funnily enough they tried to make an American version of Coupling lol.

  • @ramltfaw Now see, I've never even heard of coupling.......

  • @ramltfaw Coupling is miles better than Friends, in my book. But the American version was horrid. Why can't they just show us the originals? Do they think we're all morons who won't understand the accent or the slang? American TV producers need to get their heads out of their asses.

  • they are all so cute , adorable !!

  • Is it just me or does Aidan sound more British than Irish?

  • Ohhhh my goddddd Aidan Turner is the SEX and the show is okay too. :P

  • Ohhhh my goddddd Aidan Turner is the SEX and the show is okay too. :P

  • Gosh I love this show!!!!

If anyone is looking for the song in the video its:

Calvin Harris - I'm not alone

  • Lenora is so goddamn fine!!

I need to be making pretty babies with her LOL!!

  • I've watched every episode straight from ther BBC right here on youtube. Thank you so much.

  • Aidan absolutely gorgeous...!

  • A talented threesome - but when I saw Aidan on Desperate Romantics and knew zero about him or Being Human .....well, the star quality hit me between the eyeballs.

Only a matter of time til this fella follows Ewan Macgregor,Colin Farrell, Hugh Jackman and others up there to big-name status.

    I look forward to it.

Big star? That's coming Aidan Turner!

  • great show

  • lol so cute and funny love the look Aidan gives at 0:34 hehe

  • OMG!!! I can't wait! I love them all

  • cant fucking wait!!!!! theyve changed the wearwolf prosthetics too, thank god

  • God, I love this show. As an American I am disgusted that our Syfy channel is going to bastardize this with an Americanized remake. The show is perfect as is.

  • wtf, omg no, this show is amazing because its british!

  • Yes, Syfy has decided to do it's own remake because 'it's such an original idea.' So because you think it's original you want to redo it?! You can find the article about the remake over on scifiwire (dot) com .

  • exactly its compleatly the oposite of origonal, they copied an idea!

  • Scifi or Syfy as it's called now has gone down hill ever since they didn't renew The Dresden Files.

  • Ditto! I totally agree that SyFy is going to ruin the concept and vision of the show. If anything, import these amazing, talented actors and introduce them to a larger audience.

  • I agree. It got shown on BBC America but only very briefly and the DVD set won't be available here until mid 2010. A larger network here should have aired it even if it was Syfy. But Syfy allowed it's Scifi Wire (it's online news service) Pretty much belittle the concept when the show was startng so if they were to start airing it then it would mean admitting they were wrong... as if trying to do their own version isn't already doing that.

  • @TheBratKingJareth ah no! they're making a remake? They can't even make a decent movie! how are they gonna pull this off?

  • @oooooRachelooooo I don't know. I'm dreading it. I'd rather they just bring back The Dresden Files, their own original urban fantasy. I don't think Syfy even gets the social metaphors of Being Human.

  • @TheBratKingJareth Totally agreed. I'm American as well so I have to watch this online, but I love this show so much. I'm alarmed they would even consider remaking it. I love how British the show is, I ADORE the accents and the actors. The humor is amazing as well, I laugh so much. I can't imagine any other actors portraying them and God, it really just sounds awful... why can't they just air this Being Human in the U.S.?

  • @kyliekyliee BBC America has already aired season 1 but it was really cut up.

  • @TheBratKingJareth I'm pretty mad about that too. So many good British shows, why not just show us over here, instead of remaking them? American re-makes almost -never- work out. The only one that did was The Office [but I never watched either version, to be honest] Heard they'll also be doing an Americanized Torchwood. ARGH!

  • @StoliDassah At least the Torchwood one isn't a reboot. It's a continuation now set in America.

  • @TheBratKingJareth Yeah, that is a positive point, I suppose. When they re-made Coupling, it was exact, literally word for word. Just horrible.

  • @StoliDassah I don't see the point of the only difference is an accent. Talk about xenophobic if people can't relate just because someone talks a little differently from them.

  • @TheBratKingJareth Definitely...close-minded and ignorant also spring to mind. I love british shows, especially the comedy. I was raised on it, and I can't comprehend how someone could not enjoy it.

  • @StoliDassah Apparently it's because some Americans can't understand the British accents. Well, I can't understand some Southern accents. Does that mean we should 'Nothernize' everything from the South?

  • @TheBratKingJareth Exactly! It's getting a bit ridiculous. Always re-making, or dubbing or things like that...It really takes away from the show/movie. They should be enjoyed in their "natural" form.

  • @StoliDassah Exactly. The only time I'm okay with dubbing is if ti's a foreign language film and the dubbing is accurate to the original language, and this is mostly because some people can't read subtitles very well. With a British film or show it's not necessary. Do you know BBC America prompts us to turn on closed captioning becuase of the accents. I find this offensive. They're speaking English!

  • @TheBratKingJareth Yeah, I saw that promo...Even though I'm pretty sure it was meant humorously, it still mad me want to bash head against the TV. LOL

  • @StoliDassah It's not really a joke because they put that at the start of almost every show. They say it humoursly but they want us to put subtitles on like Americans can't speak English.
