Crime Story only lasted two seasons , but it was a great show and a work of art . It had a well put together cast with Dennis Farina , Steve Ryan , Bill smitrovich , Paul Butler ( Jerry's younger bro ) , Darlane Fleugel , Johnny Santucci , and Tony Denison . But it came another classic created by Michael Mann who created Miami Vice . I bet it was challenging for him to create a tv series that was retro in two different locations .

This was actually the second remake of "Runaway" that Del Shannon did. He had actually remade this song 19 years earlier in 1967 that only peaked at #112 on the Billboard charts that was a much slower version than this or the original 1961 version.

@ chaozengine Agreed. And I think the greatest thing about the show was that they took their time. They developed the plot, each episode was a great work of noir, and the performances were great. Today, every day I see the same rehashed NCIS episode which is the dumbest show ever.
