slam has, prohibited two kinds of adornment for men, while permitting them to women. These are, first, gold ornaments and, second, clothing made of pure silk. 'All reported that the Prophet (peace be on him) took some silk in his right hand and some gold in his left, declaring, "These two are haram for the males among my followers." (Reported by Ahmad, Abu Daoud, al-Nisai, Ibn Hayyan, and lbn Majah, who reports the additional phrase, "but halal for the females.")
'Umar reported that he heard the Prophet (peace be on him) say, "Do not wear silk, for those who wear it in this life shall not wear it in the Hereafter." (Reported by al-Bukhari and Muslim. A Similar hadith is reported by them on the authority of Anas.) On another occasion, referring to a silken garment, he said, "This is the dress of a man who has no character.'' (Reported by al-Bukhari and Muslim.)
Islam has forbidden silk so that people will keep away from it for the sake of Allah, so they will be rewarded for that. Others reply that its basically created for women, as is the case with gold jewelry, so its forbidden for men lest it corrupts them by making them resemble women. Some scholars maintain that silk is forbidden because of what it may lead to in the way of pride and showing-off.
Others relate the ruling (prohibition) to its having effect of femininity on men, as it goes against his masculinity and manliness. This applies to all men, even the most masculine and chivalrous of them. Whoever is too dense to understand this should just submit to the Wise Law-maker.
yes iam sorry i read all those hadiths before, but my freind i believe that quran contains everything needed to be muslim, and muhammad had no other duty but to convey the quran, and the quran does not mention silk and gold andwhanot except we will be wearing them in heaven. so if its outside the quran, then i dont follow it.
@rahatkhan salam aleikoum ahki, We have to fallow the sunnat of prophet Mohamed SAWS. I hope than you pratice the Salat 5 times a days, so where did you learned the way to do salat. There isn't the explanation of the way the pray in the coran.
its actually a sunnah to..when death approced to the prophet muhammad s.a.w ..he (s.a.w) lead the solat with soo much pain..and he (s.a.w) say the takberatulihram with a low voice so abu bakr r.a say the takber again with a loud voice..then it became a tradition
But that was only because it was necessary, otherwise, did he do that any time else unless in the time of need? It was only to show us that this is what you can do if the voice is not reaching some members of Salat. Just like salat on journey, it is cut short, that dosent mean that its sunnat to do that, so we can do it whenever we feel like.. Understand? It is a necessity in this situation..
yes it is necessary..there are soo many people inside the masjidil-haram..the sound of the people doing the tawaf is soo loud until the ma'mum cannot hear the takber
