  • Part 2 of this episode is blocked.

  • @gameshow2500

By a company that does not not own any part of the show: Avex Entertainment.

  • I wish I had found this upload on the show's 20th anniversary two years ago; I could have watched this episode them.

I did watch the two Thomas episodes featured on here on its 20th anniversary.

  • Does anyone know the tune from around the 6:08 point when the passenger walks in? Any tip would be appreciated!!!

  • I miss shows like this. Maybe I've just started down a journey of getting old, but it seems like today's shows talk down to kids, where shows like Shining Time Station had no need to bring something down to a child's level; they spoke to us on an ageless level, heart-to-heart. There were progressive elements like respecting Native American culture and recycling, traditional elements like folk music and railroad lore...this treats kids like real, whole people with a heritage and a future.

  • "They were all bigger than Edward"? When is Thomas bigger than Edward?

  • american thomas is retarded

that being said, theres something very unsettling about the english narrator

  • @ragerpez the american thomas is actualy a hit round here. Grew up watching the american version of thomas, and have been a fan since!

  • @Kleman09 have you watched the english one? the narrator will scare the living shit out of you with his paedo voice

  • "Applauses"

  • Hah, I love how the conductor runs into Matt and then blames it on him. He's the one that needs to watch where he's going!

  • Thank you for uploading these. This show is one of the reasons I grew up alright.

  • What's Richard singing from 6:45 to 6:52?

  • Lloyd Bridges

  • The "Thomas the Tank Engine" story, "Edward Helps Out", is one that I used to own.

  • personally, I was a fan of Toby... I wonder what train he was modeled after?

  • When does the cast change over to include Billy?

  • When Season 2 started.

  • season 2

  • thanks for uploading this!

i never saw the original episode

  • I never saw the original episode, either.

  • Wow, this show brings back so many wonderful memories!:) I really miss it.

  • The theme for Shining Time Station was composed by Joe Raposo, who also composed the theme for Sesame Street and Three's Company. By the way, the STS theme was one of his final works, as he died of lymphoma on Sunday February 5, 1989, exactly one week after the first episode (this episode) aired on Sunday January 29, 1989.

  • Really? I was only one year old at that time. But I do not remember that, maybe that's why. Thanks for the trivia.

  • said chad the fan of TV

  • and he also wrote the theme song for the Cinar cartoon The Smoggies.

  • Thomas the tank engine.hes my favourite

  • Where's the Second Episode?

  • @cc10266 The second episode is when we meet Schemer, and also when Matt and Harry become good friends.

  • Non streamlined A1 pacific

  • how could Gordon go that fast?

  • I thought the ending had a train parked in a shed after the credits were over.

  • I like that part when Richard Stillman plays his banjo. What's the song is he singing and he's playing called?

  • Try dubbing the Full House theme over the ending theme of STS.

  • never mind this is really the first ep

  • Edward is the best engine in my opinion

  • Henry is obviously the best engine!

  • Toby is the one for me

  • NAH. Donald and Douglas the Scottish Twins!!!

  • Yes, a shame how they've been treating him recently.
