I miss this coaster and always had a great ride on it. It was a real work out on your body but that's what made it the coaster that it was. Nice video.
this coaster had so much promise and looked awesome, but when i rode it as a kid it gave me a terrible headache and i was scared to ride another rollercoaster for years. i really don't see how no one noticed its roughness till it opened.
OMG, it's either Bill or Ted from Bill and Ted's excellent adventure! LOL Anyone know when this aired? Looks like it is pre internet days when there would be T.V shows featuring all the new rides at parks.
If Drachen fire was built at a Six Flags park not only it will still be standing and operating there would also be clones of the coaster at other Six Flags parks.
obviously I said it was a rumor so you should a little research on the subject matter and others are actually quoted as saying it was supposed to be a B&M. Tampa got the Kumba and that was the first sit down coaster for B&M.
@rdbarne You're almost right there...B&M turned this down because they had enough coasters on their plate, and the contract went to Arrow. Had this been built by B&M, that camelback would have been a zero G roll.
This ride was the first to be designed using computer technology. I read a rumor that this was to be a B&M coaster but the technology wasn't ready yet.
im so mad i never got a chance to ride it. i can take very intense rides so i wouldve loved this. but sadly i was born the year they closed it down :(
Im devastated i never had the opportunity to ride this bad boy. I am a HUGE arrow fan and this looks like one of the best, i love the first inversion into the drop!
Yeah Bo & Mals are cool and all don't get me wrong. But true enthusiasts hunt for the Arrows. They are from a much more "pure" era of coasters you could say.

@corkscrewfoley And if B&M built it, it would probably still be standing.

Is this ride still there? I thought they took it out somewhere else?
zordfalco 2 years ago
It stopped operating in July 1998 and was then standing but not operating until 2002 when it was scrapped after they could not find a buyer for it

His comment at the end was perfect. I agree it was pretty rough, but I'm glad I got to ride it nonetheless.
